Sometimes what’s bugging you simply hops off.
Sometimes drowning it is a good option…like with fire ants –
What did you think we were talking about?
To see it is to believe it. (Screenshot Image El Arroyo. Other signs and more about El Arroyo in Austin, TX here.)
Residual mountain high
Phil, the Philosopher Mouse of the Hedge
Mirth from meadow’s lark. Choose to refuse to be bugged. (Why is it that even if there’s a dozen parking places available, the next driver will huddle his vehicle so close to yours that you cannot open the car door to get the dog in? Must be altitude sickness. Just like masks: reduces oxygen to the brain.) (© image)

The are always a sign of the times for sure! (Keeping Austin weird…although it’s become well heeled weirdness)
Thanks for chuckling along

Hahahha about the ‘have a kid draw a picture of you’ one! Greatly funny Phil! To go along with the over inflated ego buster is this one: “If you think you’re really special, try ordering someone else’s dog around!” Ha!

Sometimes it’s even trying to order your own stubborn husky around!

Come on now, scenes like that don’t grow in Houston. You been visiting up here?

Stealth trip: slipped in to see family between July popular vacay season and end of summer’s last holiday and start of school crowds.
We have to find new areas to haunt – dog friendly trails. Elk Meadows/Stagecoach trail head is a new fav. (They have plenty of parking if you are early, dog water stations and bathrooms!)
We had to get away!!! (And hopefully more to come) Thanks for figuring it out!

Sympathize about the parking.
I tend to park well away from others (not minding the extra walking distance) but invariably, someone will park in the next spot. Mind you, not so that they’re in danger of dinging my car, but it always makes me nervous and on alert, especially if it’s a car or van with darkened windows.
It even happens when I’m in the car and waiting for my wife. Of course, I then move, but I still ponder the big question . . . Why!?!

You know, with the increasing use of AI in vehicles, do you think there will ever be a time that vehicles might develop the herd instinct and the tendency to huddle near its’ own kind….steer toward like vehicles so they can trade tire-some tales once the humans are out and gone off to do whatever …brainy ones do get bored and need input to keep going?
Maybe you are wise to move slowly away….
Thanks for directing that comment this way

Thanks for picturing that

I love the El Arroyo sign. Clever people.
I have a niece who drew a caricature of me years ago (when she was 10) where I had a kind-looking face and a shirt that said, “Kindness Begins with You” and a little deer on my shirt. I loved that that was how she saw me. Recently, she said her drawing style had changed and she wanted to do a new caricature of me. She’s 14 now. This drawing has me looking a bit more mature with my eyeglasses sitting way down on my nose (looking more matter-of-fact), a cool and updated hairstyle, and the upper body that one might expect of Wonder Woman (hey, I DO tote a lot of deer feed bags on my shoulders). But what really tickled me was the tight waistline she gave me. I wish that was for real!! Ha ha!

HAd to smile at the glasses’ location. Kids do notice funny details adults brush aside.
How cool you have several caricatures across the years. Hang onto those! (and how talented your niece must be)
As people used to say, “women don’t need gyms, they work out enough already!” Feed bags do count! Thanks for feeding that comment to us here
