A number of concern

“OK, let’s hear the explanation.(USPD/Commons.wikimedia.org)

1337. Baffling. Worrisome.

What’s the significance, WordPress?

Why announce here instead of 1,500 or 2,000, more predictable points?

1337.

A year, perhaps. An important one?

But none of that seems relevant.

A number without context. Always adds up to mystery.

It’s difficult to address squirrelly things.(USPD/Commons.wikimedia.org)

Since the message, “You have reached 1337“, came from WordPress, could it be Leet, semi-secret code?

“The word “leet” is also an adjective used to describe formidable prowess or accomplishment, especially in the fields of online gaming and in its original usage for computer hacking.”

Orthography for those who have a clue….so probably not the intended for me.

Numerology anyone? That offers up some interesting angles. All odd.

“Look, you put me behind the wheel, but you’re supposed to know the direction we’re going.” (USPD/Commons.wikimedia.org

Wondering about the mystic origin of this shadowy number phantom – Not even a blog anniversary.

1337: an accolade, a complaint, a warning?

The obscure message: “You’ve made 1337 posts.

Do the Happiness Engineers know of the anguish over Gutenberg – this a little, encouraging nudge of “you’ve come this far, don’t stop now”?

Somehow I know how cows must feel being herded without choice into the chute ramp towards the great unknown.

Well, thanks, WordPress, I guess.

Interesting to know blog posts, like data, are numbered by you.

But 1337? Still curious.

What counts, counts.

maybe 1337 is the secret code for the right lottery numbers? but how to encrypt?

The four of them look like very nice numbers. Maybe I should use them with the lottery as the ones being used now are simply none productive, those lazy numerals!
Maybe it’s a sign (If so, I’ll be sending you a large batch of Greenies…the chewy kind. HAHA Thanks for counting up a comment

It’s like those speed limit signs that say: “Speed Limit – 7 miles per hour.” It’s weird, but it did get your attention.

      Weird lives!
It’s so funny the first thing I thought of was “what happened in the year 1337″…that and well, those 4 numbers add up to sum thing: the first 3 add up to the last and those add to 14 which adds to 5 which you cannot divide evenly…sounds like pie. Yep, need pie…and ice cream.

That is a bit weird, isn’t it? Oh, well, with WP it could have been something much worse. I like that last picture of Bacall and Truman. Happy Wednesday!

It wouldn’t be WP without a bit of craziness and “What???”
The b/w photography of that era is fascinating to me – striking elegance – especially with celebrities who took care with their star quality images.

There is a message there. I don’t think I ever got a message on how many posts I’ve done. I’d use it for the lottery. That’s my best answer.

Lottery potential is leading – those numbers can’t do worse than the ones I’ve been using HAHA. (If they come through, I’ll rent an island for a fabulous blog party)

I thought it might be a prime number but it isn’t as it’s divisible by 7.
I’ve noticed that when you’ve achieved this in followers, posts or likes, WP don’t follow it up with any other accolade. Cngrats anyway and enjoy the recognition!

Knock on wood is is a YEA! not a Nay. (If you add the first 3 numbers then it’s 77 which is divisible by 7, but then you’re left with 11 – or 2 if you add them into 1 number..just way too confusing) Thanks for counting for a comment

Sometimes WP is a neverending source of weirdness and mystery. (I’ll hope to stand quietly over here to keep something from breaking?) Gotta laugh and roll with it..or should that be rock and roll with it? Maybe the answer is numbered in FAQs. Thanks for lining up a numerical comment

on the one hand, it’s always a relief to get a message in which there is no demand from us… but that in itself isn’t reason for rejoicing, since so much of what we hear is meaningless. Just taking a wild guess, I would suggest that the number represents the amount of times that the chairman of the board at wordpress said ‘fine’ at the last convention.

Especially the famine ending in China and moving into Europe by the trade routes (stoked by a year of too much rain and weird weather…sort of like this past year here and now…), and followed by the plague to finish off so many. What a year. Nice building program in France, though.
Without history, how does anyone make sense of anything currently, right? (Maybe that’s the odd message’s message.)

Open to interpretation…at least it’s not a big red ERROR message.
The new editor has potential – if it performs as easily as promised/as what we have now . The blocks are similar to the way we used to work with concepts in marketing with print…without the actual cutting with scissors and paste once the blocks of images/text look right. We’ll see….

a bunch of us are…quietly…but ominous signs today – they are tinkering and it’s affecting the old editor – very quirky a couple of times today with whiteouts for a moment – it’s like when they switch major electric power from one set of old lines to a new group – a moment where electricity vanishes….worried about the vanishing during switches here, too. We’ll see. More later – got an invite to test drive it again tomorrow. trying to stay open minded about it…we can do this HAHA
