Social inactivists.
No, she’s not dead. They poke her periodically to make sure.
She’s just doing a Ziegfeld Follies-type Tableau vivant.
A visual symbol of the holiday season: exhaustion.
You can identify with this, right? All the frantic scurrying, searching online bargains, decking the hall, and swearing (lots of swearing). Swearing you shall find a way to jingle on without tears or meltdowns.
Leave it to a German to strip the seasonal noise, frenzy, and chaos down to a clear and simple, yet meaningful, representation.
A true art form, that.
Taking in her message of what’s important (Sleep and relaxed state. Did I interpret that correctly? Hard to know. Things get lost in translation. Art is so subjective….and she’s still in character and posed so not speaking….)
Appreciate you stopping by during such a busy time. (I heard that cheer seeing a short-ish post.)
While we are off being social media inactivists, please jingle, mingle, or sit by the fire. We’ll be back as we can.
Wishing warm thoughts and warm toes.
Phil, the Philosopher Mouse of the Hedge.
The German shows off her Showgirl legs here.
Or perhaps a small memory by that Lady of Leisure, The German, in her elegant East Coast high-rise from a few years ago? Here.

We should pay more attentions to their examples. Got a bunch of loose ends to tie up this weekend, then I’ll be merry all the way to the end of the year ( Sounds like a New Year’s resolution) Thanks for warming up the comment basket

Ah, those ‘loose ends’, what would our life be without them, huh…
Em, don’t answer that! 😉
You are very welcome by the way [entirely my pleasure]

Mo is so jumbo that he may not have the strength to lift a paw. The German has decided that the cats must live under the bed. Works for her! Thanks for showing her some support, Easy!

We need to see pictures of Mo just to make sure she’s ok. That German has become quite the RC!

Mo is still a little miffed about the hair cut. Ignoring offered mousies. Anything for attention. But they seem to be settling in…if you ignore that little tiff resulting in a German nose scratch. The cats command the upstairs sunny room while the German holds the lower level one. So far so good…Thanks for stopping in to check their progress

Nothing like a little meditation in preparation for the busy weekend… even the holidays. Is that fine Corinthian leather??? Fabric?? What a lovely perch. I half expected to see grapes on a silver platter and waving palms in the final photo.

Ah, yes. The German finally feels she has accommodations worthy of her. It’s a tuffed large fabric ottoman. Would this be an actual tuffet of legends and rhymes? The German has probably asked Santa for silver treat platters.
This is the last of the days of frenzy – next week it’s really sloooow and peaceful. Hope your woodlands are settling into that lovely comfortable quiet. Thanks for stopping by to chat a bit

The dogs somehow always claim the best spots. And do they ever understand how to spend a holiday! I shall be lounging on my ottoman today…I wish.

And dogs are so willing to let you go about your business. I wonder if they are secretly laughing as their owners rush around like squirrels. Ever notice how a dog will sit in the middle and spread out to take up as much room as possible? Such moans and sighs if you inch them over. They ahve it figured out. Thanks for snoozing along

I’m done with the Christmas stuff, and with the office stuff… yay… now for the packing stuff but if I had half a chance I’d curl up beside the German and take a nice dognap… she has style that German 🙂

The German noses what is important. She is the elegant one. She’d find you fine company.
(I’m rushing around this week so next week I’ll have time to breath and enjoy life.) You’ll get it all done soon enough. And how lovely that will be. Just smiles. Thanks for pawsing to chat

Plenty of room on the couch for the German, and other four & two-legged visitors.
I hope this week finds you rested & festive 🙂

(And perhaps a new elf-sidekick pup for the German at her house…developing…nothing like a forever home for the holidays…if they pass the nose to tail interview with big wags….additional paw stocking already on the mantle)
Jingling dog IDs rival reindeer harnesses. Just as merry. Nothing like a crowd for the howlidays. Merry on!

Wise, that German. Shavasana is my favorite pose. Perhaps I should emulate the German and find a soft spot to practice it. 🙂

The German recommends a nice sunny spot..with a bird or soft breeze if possible. In any case, no TV. She feels her smooth transition to RC of a new Realm is the result of naps. Signing up for those next week! Thanks for adding a calming comment

Yes, relaxation is so important but so noticeably absent this time of year. The German and cats can teach us a valuable lesson there! Here’s to taking it easy and enjoying little moments

Happy Holiday wishes to the Realm! I’m with the German (and by extension you) with less is more this time of year. No time to sit and write, no time to read. Love the “marshmallow” throne she has adopted!

The German graciously offers an energetic tail wag. She recommends lovely afternoon naps for all for the remainder of the year. Hope you’re having a merry week!

Merry indeed in the world of retail, naps will be taken after December 25th!

Methinks the German has the right attitude. We could all use some down time to re-energize. Enjoy your break!

I am trying to unplug a bit. Not very successfully…silly post ideas keep showing up HA HA. Writing is addictive. But charging onward trying to catch up with comments (guilt guilt) and a few blog visits, then radio silence for a bit…maybe some real writing. Down time is a real gift. We should give it to ourselves more. Enjoy all the warmth and fun of the holidays. Thanks for wandering in to chat
