Boxing Day already?

Shocking.

Warm lazy days blend easily from one to another, but this?

Oh, at last, at last alas, We feel exhilarated faint.

Can you believe this?

Can you believe this?

Time spins so fast.

Celebratory trash decorations barely collected from one event before the next staggers out like a sleepy child.

Here. It is not wistful delusional thoughts. Evidence:

Back to Training Boxes School advertisements.

These discovered during Our daily crushing of items that distract staff Current Events Session.

Outrageous.

As RC Cat of the Realm We demand explanation.

Staff must be assembled.

Advertisements for Training Box supplies already.

Advertisements for Training Box supplies already?

Why do humans insist on rushing their lives away?

While it is true the days are slightly shorter, there are sufficient hours for providing instruction and role models for the young.

Sadly, it appears humans do not take a hint.

They prefer stuffing their unfinished offspring into windowless rooms, Training Boxes, at the first opportunity or excuse.

And We are quietly clapping Our little paws in delight.

We suppose We shall be forced to fend for Ourselves Staff will expect free time to gather necessary Training Boxes supplies.

Annoying.

We are confused as to the need for purchasing specially decorated small boxes to house tissues, pencils, and crayons when the entire mess carefully selected items will be left in the big Training Box facility.

Have these Training Box not heard of bulk purchases? So much more efficient. Think litter.

Staff would surely applaud not having to search high and low for just the right colored folder.

Yes, reasonable excursions allowed. Parking lots are cooler at midnight.

We wouldn’t want to spoil them by allowing day time shopping wish Staff to get overheated during hot daytime supply searches.

And there will be fewer crowds then.

Staff shall be overwhelmed with Our thoughtfulness.

Perhaps so happy they may prefer to shop on-line so as not to disrupt the Realm’s routine.

Such simple things do so delight them.

We inquire out of politeness.

Our feigned interest in Staff’s affairs looks convincing, yes?

We demanded inquired politely when the noisy unfinished creatures would be carried off  their lovely children would be departing.

Staff mumbled something disturbing: “Ate twenty-six.”

We attempted to maintain a civil face while resisting a stern paw strike for their insolence being concerned.

We did not inquired about their diet or how much Staff eats.

If uniforms become too small, Staff has a choice of paying for new ones or stop eating like a pig modifying caloric intake.

But, ate twenty-six?

We do hope they haven’t been taking the fairy tales as a guide for life….

There’s one about a gingerbread house with the big oven and bothersome children who keep intruding….

Oh dear. We must request the Molly attend Us.

The Molly spends a great deal of time with staff.

She will have sniffed out if any are bulimic.

She shall know exactly what twenty-six items were eaten.

It better not have been Our Greenies.

While gathered here, We wish to discuss a recent Event of Mystery

During a session of dictation, We noticed Staff was not recording Our words properly.

Ignoring Us and merely writing a series of xxXxx’s thinking We would not notice?

Such behavior required immediate correction.

We stomped all over the keyboard and even caught Our claw between keys  As We leaned over and pointed out this error, Staff was startled by Our outraged snarls and inadvertently pushed some button that exposed Staff’s foolish inattention to the world.

As RC Cat of the Realm, We could not help feeling smug and quite proud of the comeuppance  somewhat sympathetic.

Alas, this audience must now be at an end.

We see the Molly has received Our request and is approaching.

Oh, she is waving some request about voting for her friends K9 Tommy and K9 Boomer.

The Molly is so civic-minded: herodogawards.org through July 30.

Waiting for Royal recognition?

Do I have to go in there? Oh, for the police dogs, I’ll do it.

Take care as you leave. Gifts of Mousies may be left on the window sill.

Left! As in “to leave”. “Placed to remain”.

Not gathered up and stuffed in your pocket!

Those are displayed as examples of what pleases Us –  not souvenirs!

The paw is waving!

Permission to withdraw.

Fini.

And don’t forget to leave an open can of food in the doorway as tribute.

I am RC Cat and I approve this message.

Oh, Pippa is so taken by that wonderful photo of Molly that no more can be said. Sorry no tins, mousies or anything. Just a paw wave to Molly and possibly a friendly nose sniff.

How to get your text ignored eh? Post a beautiful animal photo 😀

Hi Pippa! (Molly would respond, but she’s running wildly outdoor as it is cloudy/slightly cooler before (hopefully) some rain. We are all getting cabin fever. She rarely holds still unless crashed out asleep ( most unlady-like poses in this heat)
Pictures! Sometimes people only have time for a quick drive through…maybe an abbreviated version in pix and captions? Aiming to make life easier here.
Hope your summer is going well Thanks for wandering over

I love RC’s rendition of what’s going on. It’s always closer to the truth than you think and it seems that she is getting Molly into shape!

Keeping watch over the realm in such stifling conditions must be unbearable. Please accept this gift of mousies on the windowsill. Staff and their kind would be well-advised to follow the examples of RC Cat. I’m sure the education of any Royal Offspring would be well-worth emulating. Perhaps William and Kate of England will set the example….

RC Cat: “Oh, We are so please with the mousie. We have placed it here – beside Us – by Our right paw. (That is a favored position) Thrilled. A surprise cheers a rather steamy day. Raising little ones is such a trial, but they seem to do well with fresh air and exercise – and staying out of trees…Yes, yes. We recommend staying out of trees. Staff sometimes gets overwrought and attempts to hasten returning to the ground by tugging on tails. How many times must We say, “It is not a handle”? Delighted you popped in to visit, but We must return to Our duties (and this mousie is so intriguing).A grateful paw wave in thanks.”

Yes, yes, the Molly is coming along nicely. She has a few new tricks which shall be revealed before long (Such lovely talents although Staff is disturbed). We shall pass along your kind words to her. Helloooo. Do you see Us standing on Our tippy paws waving? It is a long way. Paw wave!”

RC Cat, oh wise one, human offspring do require certain tools when they resume attendance at the Training Boxes, but as you sagely point out, such advertising and promotion is gratuitous and unnecessary and should be used as kitty litter liner or fire starters to get the most appropriate use from it. Both you and Molly look well despite the steamy weather. Please consider staff may also have been conveying kisses, which via a keyboard are xxxxx’s, on your behalf, perhaps to your loyal followers. Wishing you all the right combination of sunshine and cool 🙂

RC Cat: “We are so happy to receive the kissy gifts. And the lower temperatures you have sent. Staff has even opened a window to the Outer Realm (at Our direction, of course.) Access to butterflies and lizards on the screens provide such amusement….much more than silly newspapers Staff wants to read. We have decided to sent one of the Realm’s lovely butterflies to you and are in the process of snatching one. Staff says a picture will be sufficient, but We feel that would be a poor substitute. Once the logistics have been worked out, perhaps? A cheery paw wave until then.”

Your Staff must be humbly proud to be in service to Your Majestic self.
Molly is also a visual delight.”

RC Cat:”Ah, Sir Sweetie. You are so kind and a most welcomed visitor. Fortune has smiled upon the Realm today with mild temperatures and no rain – so the Molly is able to play with friends. During the past few rainy days the Molly misunderstood Our direction. We asked her to watch out the window, not eat the window sill. But she did an excellent job of exercising Staff by running wildly around the house with her blanket in her mouth – resisted capture quite well. Your Purrrs are such treasure to Our ears. We can only hope Our Purrs being sent are sufficient to relay Our appreciation.”

In an attempt to teach, cats often try to hold humans down and convey the benefits of stillness – only to be rudely brushed aside as the person once again performs restless behavior. Perhaps someday enlightenment will come. A paw salute for your insight!”

RC Cat: Staff informs us the shopping carts are whizzing around Target like crazy. Another reason why it is good to have staff. Frantic movement only creates frantic thoughts. We shall implore those of the Realm to purr calmness into the atmosphere to soothe those forced to shop. And We agree – eating 26 of anything cannot be healthy. A soft cheek pat to calm the giddiness!”
