Get the posse. Completely rotten.
It’s bad enough.
They are stealing bronze vases off graves.(pain for one family)
They are stealing the copper wires and AC units of churches (one group suffers)
They steal generators, copper wires, brass fittings, and equipment from volunteer fire departments – just as fire season is starting. (leaving communities at risk)
This time they stole from all of us.
You included.
Next time it might be your child.
EquuSearch can’t be there to help.
After a search Tuesday morning, EquuSearch team members stopped at Golden Corral in south Houston (I45 South/Gulf Freeway and Fuqua).
While they ate, thieves stole the EquuSearch van, trailer, several 4 wheelers, metal detectors, and equipment used to find lost children and missing persons.
Please look around
At the streets, at pawn shops, at flea markets,
In backyards, garages, and barns
Check Ebay and other “things for sale – no questions asked” places.
These totally rotten thieves are going to try to sell this stuff.
This rescue group searches for missing children across the country.
Caylee Anthony? Yes.
And others. Read here for the short list.

Texas EquuSearch was founded in 2000.
A 16-year-old girl disappeared. Laura’s body discovered years later along with 2 other murdered girls.
Her father, Tim Miller, vowed he’d help find other abducted children.
The organization is a non-profit all-volunteer group that travels and assists local authorities searching for missing persons – especially children.
Read about the organization and some cases here.
Here’s the Facebook fan page.
Pictures of the group in action here. (Houston Chronicle. “Insider has stolen money from group.”)
Please spread the word and look around. And don’t let anyone buy this stuff.
It’s important.
They are the posse that comes to the rescue.
A little bit of rescue for them this time?
Thanks

This sickens me. Many years ago I lived within a mile or two (Edgebrook & Gulf Freeway) of where this atrocity took place.

Laura’s family lives not far from where we live. That group has done so much good work – someone knows who stole this stuff. Thanks for keeping an eye out

I honestly hate people sometimes. Only a “special” kind of dirtbag would do something like this. Hopefully justice will be served.

There must be a bad moon rising or something – people seem to have little decency right now. So much selfishness and meanness. Can only hope the criminals slip up and show/sell to the wrong person and get caught. And their moms need to disown them, too. No excuses. Thanks for saddling up and riding along

Sad that someone would do this. I guess if you’re the type to steal, you’re not the type to be particular about what you steal.

It’s gotten very bad. It’s such a same this group was hit when they have been valuable in finding missing kids and persons. Somebody knows something – best hope is to get the word out. Thanks for stopping by

It is disturbing. Maybe someone will spot the van/trailer and pick up the phone. Fingers crossed. Thanks for driving over

Duh! Sadly yet another case of opportunistic idiots… hopefully the stupid thieves have enough sense of self preservation (evidently they possess little other type of sense including decency) to realise what they have taken is not viable to sell, and leave it somewhere where it can be found and returned to the rightful owners.

Like you I’m hoping the stuff is too hard to unload and they just park it somewhere. Publicity is the best shot. Thanks for shaking fists along

That’s awful. I hope they get caught right away.

Blogs/media have assisted before by spreading the word quickly. Even if they just park the van and stuff somewhere and walk away, it would help this group. Thanks for stopping by

It’s just plain rotten. It’s so discouraging to know that anyone would do this. However, you’re right someone close there knows who has this stuff now and who stole it. I sure hope it’s recovered.

People who have been here a while remember Laura’s case – and how this rescue group started. Publicity and photos are the best shot. This group has become counted of by law enforcement – they always show up. Thanks for wandering by

Although I believe that the majority of people are good, unfortunately majority doesn’t mean all.

Sadly, one bad apple spoils the bunch – and so many barriers to removing the bad apples these days. Most people do try to do the right thing – hopefully someone will spot the van and make that call. Thanks for watching

People can be so rotten to the core. It’s hard to come up with a reason why they should be living among us. I would bet that someone will report the whereabouts very soon.

Getting the word and pictures out by media/blogs has helped before – not that that the crooks see it, but a wider audience means more eyes looking – fingers crossed. The group has already had to tell desperate parents they can’t transport horses or ATVs to help search. Thank for shaking fists to sky, too

when things get stolen from churches and innocent young lives become so cheap and easily picked up and tragically thrown away, you know the level of goodness is dropping way low.

Sometimes you know when it’s time to stand up and say enough. Not going to be easy. But enough! Thanks for clearly stating the problem.

I hope you’re right that publicizing this will help return the stolen goods somehow. The depths to which some people will sink is discouraging. Hopefully this story will find a way to bring out the best in others.

The founder is pretty discouraged right now. The media is still showing pictures. Stuff sometimes takes a while to float to the surface. With luck someone will spot the van or someone will try to sell it to a person who knows about the theft. SIGH. Thanks for driving in to chat

This is awful! I hope the stolen equipment is recovered and that karma further punishes the thieves.
