A Riot of Color
There. Certainly a bunch of them. Hard to ignore.
What? What were you expecting?
Oh, black and white clarification.
Could have planted a disorderly mob of Kangaroos. (But they won’t halt for anything. Nor is there any way of confirming if they are colorblind or not. Source. Sort of like some people.)
Animals collectively perform, seem so human….
- Might have been braced for a clash of bucks.
- Suffering from an unkindness of ravens.
- A murmuration of Starlings. (Not to be confused with a murder of crows. Society’s nerves too raw for that right now)
- A pledge of wasps (Funny, would the last word could cause a riot if the letters were capitalized with periods in between?)
- Better to be collecting a charm of finches, giggling with a gaggle of geese, or inspiring with a convocation of eagles
How about some riotous laughter?
Some remember that.
Heard any good knock knock jokes recently? The World could use a few.
Knock knock. Who’s there?
Ida.
Ida who?
It’s pronounced Ida-ho and the state capital is Boise.
Knock knock. Who’s there?
Kanga.
Kanga who?
I believe it is pronounced kanga-roo.
Or even encouraging a bit of “running riot”
Like, you know, a 2 year old human or colt: “not controlled, in all directions; noisy” – having a great free range time.
Need more of that. Running is healthy and good for the heart. The world needs more heart.
Well, then, how about this: Palm Power!
(Is it permissible to say that? Oh, Earth Day is here, so it’s OK. Context is everything. It’s a joke people, lighten up.)
No, Palm Power is not talking about panhandling at the intersections or those endless pieces in the mail begging for donations.
Squint. You’ll see it.
There at the very top – Jostling it’s way through the freeze-dried fronds – a bold fist of green.
Proudly, defiantly proclaiming “You can’t stop me! Palm lives matter! Get back with those chainsaws. I’m alive!”
Fan palms, like fan dancers, tend to be peek-a-boo as they shimmy in the spring if left au naturel.
You squinted right? Not from a headache, I hope.
Ya’ gotta expect whackadoodle around here. Tough job, but someone has to do it.
How about 2 of my favorite Elon Musk quotes:
On the idea of traveling to and colonizing Mars: “I’d like to die on Mars – just not on impact.”
On observing a Dragon rocket burning up after returning to earth and actually landing on the X …for half a second before exploding: “At least the crater is in the right spot.”
Now that’s science – real inquisitive, solution finding science…not the propaganda or political kind.
You squinted and saw it all, right? A real brain riot. (Intended “riot” not “rot”.)
Yep, perspective and sense of humor changes everything.

Other than being able to do what he wants, not sure Musk sees his wealth as anything other than freedom – to create and do cool stuff. He does work hard, employee a lot of people – and inspires others to work toward their dreams. We need more like him.
I’m ready to relocate near Boca Chica ..if only the Cartels weren’t so active and free along the border. I can do the landscaping for his offices? What do you think about: a fish pond and water feature?
Thanks for adding to the riot here

I’ve been watching the line of palms down the road, and most have that little green topknot now. Three or so still are pouting, and it’s very much an “Uh, oh” situation. As for collective nouns, I had a frustration of birds lined up on my railing this morning. I decided to start taking the feeders in at night to discourage the possum, and I wasn’t up at dawn. When I opened the blinds. here they were — seven birds lined up on the railing, staring at me. Whoops!

Your tardiness has been noted HAHA! Beware. (No doubt the woodpecker was about ready to tap, not politely, on your window.
The possums are moving right now(We have to scan the backyard too spot possum leavings before Molly rolls in them) – and the squirrels frolicking.
Around here right after the freeze, landscape companies and tree trimmers were out in mass offering to cut down big palm trees….Sadly many listened to them. Wonder if former tall palm owners are kicking themselves now? (Our small Mediterranean pigmy palms are still dormant…or dead…may still come out at the root…and I can carve trunks into tiki statues? Thanks for trimming up a comment to leave.

our rioting jokes are currently: a man walks into a bar… that’s the joke per se….. but we hope that may brings no may day but good news…

Sadly funny joke. We all need a new leash on life and an “all may today” soon. Molly sends as big paw wave as it’s her birthday (and she’e been to run with German Shepherds who basically run the dog field when they are all there…so nap time…especially since she also went to the doggy spa for a bath…which she is not sure if that’s a treat or not – but storms moving in tomorrow and she is just so pretty now and will stay that way for atlas a day HaHA. Paw waves…even though tired ones) Thanks for adding a riotous joke!

My favorite collective noun is a *dazzle* of zebras. Maybe not pertinent to your post, but I felt you should know that. It is, after all, talking about black and white.

I cannot believe I missed that one – zebra is just perfect. Thanks for dazzling us collectively with your animal lore! (Nice weather today – storms tomorrow, so brevity is the noun for today HAHA)

I didn’t know Musk had such a sense of humor! How many people could make jokes after seeing a multi-million dollar investment blow up?

I think he doesn’t see money but scientific progress. What a cool guy – lucky he landed here. Thanks for adding to the riotous fun!
