Luck in sight
So that was the big mistake last year.
Seeing with 2020 vision
While considered “normal” vision (And there’s the second mistake – considering anything “Normal”)
People confused seeing with eyes measuring 20/20 to mean they saw all the details – at 20 feet away – perfectly clearly.
Interpretation of what was before their eyes indisputable.
The numeral sequence may have been identical, but that’s about it.
2021 – all unsullied a clean slate to eyeball, offers a better opportunity:
A comfortable sequence to count on: “20” followed by “21” – that’s seems predictable so far.
Everyone longs for comfort and predictability right now…tired of dire repetition of numbers and doom.
Yes, to 2012
That with a different outline and time.
So to view, a obligatory carefully chosen New Years wish of hope unshaken with beauty unscarred:
Oh, lovely – even if a bit of seeing through rose colored glasses.
Only the lady below might be the one to pay attention to:
2021’s here. Grab all the good luck tokens you can.
It’s not hoarding! It’s called being well prepared!
Happy New Year. Onward!

Both our nations have been through troublous times and are not out of them yet so any morsel of luck that can be winkel-picked from among the thorns of chance are to be seized and held tightly.

We have had trials and tribulations before and survived. (I want 2 signs for my front yard: “No Whining”, and “Keep calm and carry on”.) Sigh. Patience, perseverance, determination, and common sense – qualities previous generations have had are now once again becoming critical for survival. OF course a good bit of luck can make a huge difference.
Stay safe and snug as a bug in a rug, as my grandmother used to say…that and stay away from people coughing and sneezing.
Hope your new year will be much clearer sailing! Thanks for docking a comment here.

I do enjoy these old greetings. Whether we’re ready or not, here it comes — so we might as well get ready for the ride!

I should probably write article on the cultural significance/ revelations from vintage greeting cards. THere’s so much history suggested by them. They are fun period pieces – nice so many survived.
Yep, new year blowing in with winter! Nothing like that to keep things fresh and people on their toes. Warm waves to your realm’s numerous inhabitants! Cheers

Every little glimmer of hope is something to grab and hold at this point, Karen. But the good news is that there are glimmers! –Curt

A little glimmer is all you need at the start of something bigger…(.but let’s avoid eve little sparks if in dry forests – not the fireworks we want to see)
May this new year offer many travels for you two! Cheers

Laughing, Karen. Sort of. That spark thing is serious business!
We have a trip up the Rhine (which we postponed from last year) planned but it may still be too soon. Sigh. I may have to hit the trail with my backpack again. No social-distancing problems out there. :)Thanks, and the best to you and your family, including the wonderful cat and dog! –Curt

Happy New Year to you and yours! We have a gorgeous, wintery scene to behold this morning. Old man winter gifted us with a beautiful landscape in the night, but oh what a blustery and cold morning!
