Nothing like hanging out with a couple of big dogs and a kid discovering what feet are for to go back to seeing the world as all new and they way it should be.
And tearful apologies for being such slacker and not responding to comments or visiting blogs, but running to keep up here…Oh, OK, maybe not wailing and wringing hands over lack of computer time (’cause I’m one of those odd people who think little kids should be exploring, sitting in dirt, and outside if possible instead of in front of any kind of screen…but, yes, texting withdrawal is brutal.), but it is a sincere apology.
Hope Santa gets my request to hitch a ride to my rooftop with him….RC Cat is sooo not amused. The emailed images of a depressed, moping, heartbroken malamute Molly have a certain HRH’s paw prints all over them…..Being catty, RC was never one to avoid guilt tripping staff.
A closing thought “Without electricity, air would rot.”
RC Cat always claims this is her favorite Emerson quote, but we wonder at her interpretation of it.

I love the sky quote ;o) and it’s amazing what reasons we have to keep the dogs away from water ;o) we fortunately have only duck poop and leftovers from stupid fisher men who throw their hooks, lines and baits on the ground … no gators…;o(

Much of the world’s and people’s problems seem to come from not seeing the horizon or running around outside, right? Dogs do their darnedest to correct that, but are thwarted by door knobs and latches. (Grrr). One reason why I worry about building schools without windows. Thanks for splashing down here and leaving a comment. (I will trot over to visit – promise!)

Schools without windows? Truly? How ironic that one of the world’s most-used computer operating systems is called — Windows. Oh, gad. There’s a post in that…
Where’s the photo spot? It looks lovely, despite the fallen-in bank. Plenty of horizon there, and running room, too. I feel like I’ve totally missed the fall myself, what with this and that. Remedies are necessary, before autumn disappears, too.
No apologies needed, by the way. It’s just good to see that you’re still among the harried-but-living.

It’s the canoe launch behind Butler Museum. I’ve got a few other shots for another post. We make an attempt to give Molly a special outing when I manage to get home. She’s not taking it well. Some things are timeless and universal – like a cat’s expectations and orders. (But Molly is still doing her best to encourage RC to jog around the house…nothing like a cold wet dog nose to get fur moving…Oh, it’s for her own good. HAHA) Thanks for leashing a comment here

Real life takes precedent, or at least it should. I struggle with the balance of online and the rest. In a week, I’ll be in Philadelphia for a long weekend daughter visit and I won’t be blogging or reading blogs, just having fun with her. Makes a break a real break. 🙂 Enjoyed the quotes. The problem with common sense is that there doesn’t seem to be much of it these days; it’s just not common anymore.

Walks and being outdoors even briefly seems to help quiet the frantic rush and noise. And there’s always some odd thing to see – like we noticed the large hawks have already migrated into the area. Amazing creatures (and we hope the little eagles are in the nest not too far from where we are grow up well and decide to settle in the area.)
With winter weather there’ll be plenty of time for indoor activities ahead. meanwhile – everyone outside to play! Thanks for strolling along

Not sure it’s relevant to anything, Phil, but I’ve read that dogs are much more likely to get eaten by alligators than cats. Maybe that’s because dogs are much more likely to jump in the water. Or maybe it’s a matter of intelligence. 🙂

It may be that dogs want to get unclose and personal and bark madly while cats prefer to observe the action from afar, like up in a tree.
