Can we chat? Dogs are smart enough to know best not stick your nose in where it doesn’t belong. People seem to enjoy taking the risk.©
A bit in your face, that phrase “Nosy Parker”.
We used to scorn them in grade school: tattletale, rat fink, snitch.
Those bossy britches sneaking up to listen in, and then running off blurt it all out.
Later wailing in fear of our tightly clinched fists – without even being hurt. Yet.
Protective cover provided as they ran to their car after school. Hope springs eternal to live and tattle another day.
No one liked them. Did it to themselves all the while.
Sad thing is that they grew up and are still playing the “Gotcha Game”
Tattling has been fine tuned and trendy.
Even to organizing on social media to the point of threatening “Don’t challenge us or we’ll bully you to your knees.”
Why are you all still acting like you are 3?
It’s gotten very tiresome.
What’s left to say except the time-honored retorts:
- “Takes one to know one.”
- “Who made you the boss of the world?”
- “You keep poking that nose in where it doesn’t belong and you’re gonna be sorry”
- “Mind your own beeswax. Nobody likes a bossy britches tattletale.”

Ouchie! Molly sympathizes as she is a nose hound and often looks like a vacuum cleaner on walks. She says she’s just gathering the latest gossip. Sometimes, like when she finds a fire ant bed by mistake, we wish she’d learn to read/use a cell phone instead. Thanks for bouncing in to chat

So Wegmans is in trouble now? Fascinating, because that small chain has a loyal almost cult-like following who I’d think would overlook any possible misstep by the management. I wonder if the anti-Liberal commenters on that article are as gung-ho about buying Ivanka’s expensive clothes at Nordstrom as they are about showing their support for Trump by buying a relatively inexpensive bottle of wine? 0.o

Can you believe that? Should be a boom for smaller local non chain stores and farmers’ markets – not a bad thing. Hey, lots of people around here brew their own beer and make their own house wines – so no great loss, right?
Were Ivanka’s clothes expensive? Not really needing office clothes, I’m not that familiar with them. Her line started years ago as an affordable line for young career women – over time the prices may have climbed; still they were at many of the big discounted fashion stores like Marshall’s/ Stein Mart (not in the designer section) around here, so you have to wonder if the line was nearing end date anyway. Whatever.
People should spend their money where the prefer – but limiting others’ choices does’t seem very, well, welcoming of diversity of opinions and lifestyles.
(Seriously NOW in Virginia, how about doing some big time noise and awareness about human trafficking, stalking…equal pay by those working for political parties….I am so disappointed.)
You are braver than I reading the article comments. I no longer bother because of the unbelievable craziness of those who comment on there. Both sides are foaming fanatics.
Cats and dogs do have better sense and ability to get along.

I read a few of the comments because I’ve heard so many people talk about how wonderful Wegmans is. The people in the comments weren’t talking about the store as much as feeling put upon because someone somewhere doesn’t like Trump wine. I dunno about you… but if you like the wine, buy it. If you don’t like the wine, don’t buy the wine. It’s not that big of a deal, nor do I feel it’s newsworthy.

I agree with boycotts – after all, the original Boycott was an Irish man! And believe it or not, I’ve heard of Wegman’s even over here. If he who is in charge is all about business, seems logical to protest in a way he understands. Might seem petty but it has to start somewhere.

Boycotts are fine and effective. Firm but civil marches in front of a place of business to express opinion is tradition and effective. Money speaks. It’s your money, support the businesses that work for you.
But I do not like groups demanding a store stop carrying a certain brand because they don’t like something about the owner’s owner or company, it’s infringing on the right of others to purchase what they want (and realistically many people do not attach politics/issues to items in stores while others do).
Also , why does NOW have time to protest cheap wine in a grocery store because they don’t like the president, and not one peep from them about human trafficking? Not one word protesting rapes on campus by athletes. Not a snarky remark about stalkers and the damage they do to women’s lives. And why not scream louder about all the women’s jobs in Washington DC that are paid less than men in the same position – both parties. Seems odd priorities with just so much time and energy to go around.
It is interesting how the woman who’s website/blog lists all the places that carry anything with the Trump name used to be a marketing specialist, but she’s now handed off all her clients to others and works full time on her website/blog list. Must be nice to have enough money to do what others have to do as a hobby full time..even if it does seem a bit obsessive.
Still no need to sit around and whine in frustration/hopelessness. Mid term elections coming of for Congress representatives. And each representative now also has email, addresses, and phones – I found them and use them.You can make a difference – without disrupting lives of regular people who work in the stores or make the goods and depend on that paycheck.
To stop a snake, best strike it in the right spot with the sharpest instrument. (And yes, he was Irish!) Thanks for waving the pitchfork and adding to the comment pyre

Now some people are organizing a boycott against company/loudly complaining about the American Girls company’s new doll: a little boy (who is a drummer in a band, I think)
Saying’ the company is out to ruin little boys and destroy men. Ken and Barbie have been around for a long time – no doubt people complained when Ken dolls came out. When will people let it go – stop trying to tell others how to live their lives and let everyone make up their own minds and buy what they want?
Narrow minded bossy britches people are so annoying. MYOB and get a life.

Yeah, that is stupid. Stupid from the other side of the spectrum! Boys DO play with dolls, and even if boys don’t want that one, why can’t a girl have a boy doll who plays drums? I think all dolls are creepy as hell, so should I freak out about any place selling them? No, I just shudder and run like any normal person should! 😂

Tracked down the story to a coalition of black ministers (normally vote a Dem. block locally). All this frenzy over this and that is nuts.
(But running away from doll – totally sane….you’ve seen the horror movies…and who knows what those lifelike dolls morph into at night…move over and make room on the road for me)

Ridiculous.
I was pretty okay with puppets, dolls, etc. Didn’t like them but they didn’t bother me. Until I went into a shop and the bland little Christmas tree by the till opened its EYES and started singing at me. I hit the back wall of the shop in no seconds flat! I’ve not been the same since.

Her Earnestine character was pretty funny too. She is an individual ahead of her time with many of her concepts. How interesting it would be so see what social media characters/comments she could create for comedy skits – she did know how to do funny and satire in those. (She’s in that Netflix series with a great cast, but could have better writers)
