Fun with feet.

Did the booties get mixed up in shipment and they mistakenly delivered a pair of those fairy tale enchanted Red Shoes that wouldn’t stop dancing?

Or is it the result of viewing too many Fred Astaire movies? Footloose? Happy Feet?

I don’t know, dancer like Prancer, but this made me smile.

Baby’s got new shoes.

Bless the dogs that defend and protect our troops.

Fun with feet.

All ready to twist and shout.

This video sent to you by The German who apparently is mulling over some Wellies as she is sloshing, not hot footin’ it.

Phil, the Philosopher Mouse of the Hedge.

The German doesn’t have Wellies? With the rainy weather you have had that would be a big mess to clean up! I think about those military dogs and hope they have people to love them too.

The German rang up the other day thrilled with her non-muddy new backyard…something about professional drain systems, landscape… Molly just sniffed something about seeing is believing and has been tossing the car keys at me. (Humans are so lucky they don’t have thumbs….)

  2. I’m just the same whenever I get new shoes (and I usually wear them to bed too, just for a few weeks until they’re run in)…

I draw the line at chewing on them, though…difficult to return if they leave a bad taste. Thanks for shoo-ing a comment over this way

Applause for the paws! That’s a great video to share. Happy feet for sure!

I do hope the Wellies are appropriately stylish. I saw a pair for humans that were leopard print and was taken with them. Perhaps the German, in a show of solidarity with the cat world, could opt for some like that? Just a thought. 🙂

Will relay that suggestion. Leopard print boots would certainly signal that she is an RC willing to walk in all her Realm’s residents paw paths. Thanks for lacing in a comment

I love my family pets, but there’s just something about a military or law enforcement K9 that is special!

What are the booties for? I’m just curious if there is a purpose. I love the companionship and happiness in this video. Fun with feet indeed! 🙂

The sands in desert environments are very very hot. These dogs really need shoes to protect their feet. (Same is true in ice and snow for long periods – like the dog races in Alaska.) Between the bewildered dog and his handlers chuckles, this was certainly a smilie event. Thanks for jitterbugging over to comment

So funny. The dog’s wondering who put the clown shoes on its feet. Yes, bless those dogs that help protect our troops. And an ear and rump rub for all those who lie on couches and give us their unconditional love. 🙂

Those dogs are so serious, this one was probably wondering if this whole thing was a silly joke. Probably the benefits of the laughter wasn’t mentioned in the booties’ sale pitch. Paws up for the paws that have chosen to share the lives of humans. Thanks for smiling along

Hooray for Moira and her proud humans! Stylish indeed though I have never been able to get Alice to where the boots I bought her. The ice used to melt snow on the roads is rough on her pads, if the silly girl would keep her boots on… Have the husky’s first sledding photos for you Phil, fun to see her get over the “Why is that thing FOLLOWING me!!” to “Pull is my middle name!”

That video was adorable. And I can’t help but feel those soldiers will suffer less mental health problems because of Morgan.

Rumpy, you’ve brought up some of the dogs’ additional roles: guidance counselor, motivational speakers, and emotional support. Some handlers say those are the most important things they do…a bit of “home” and happiness in a world gone mad. Paw waves and thanks for saluting along!

You’ve got to love a dog called Moira 🙂 She’s a Belgian though, not a German. The Malinois shepherds are gradually taking over from German shepherds over here.

No misleading tail identification intended in this tale. HA HA. Germans Shepherds are quite happy to welcome the capable Belgians to the team…especially that’s how many GS are masquerading in areas where odd people and insurance companies are listing/banning German Shepherds as a “Dangerous breed”. (Shhh. Don’t tell. snort) Thanks for leashing a comment here!

Here it’s the other way round. It’s the Belgians that get the bad press. Arf arf.

Nothing like confusion! Our big black Bouvier de Flanders was often mistaken for a bear. A few of those used in law enforcement here, but we’d be just as happy if they stayed under the radar to protect the breed. Go woofies!

Best big nannies and guard dogs ever! Bouviers rarely bark when guarding sheep, they just silently appear to rip apart the wolves. Such lovely doggies ( but don’t tell)

One joyful pup ( even though not certain if it was all a joke or not) Life would be more fun if everyone took themselves less seriously and was able to laugh at themselves.
How about another giggle? A coyote playing ball by himself?

If you like in a hot climate with sand, you know how it gets so hot, walking across it is double dare challenges for kids. So glad the dogs get booties. That is one cavorting pup.
Did you see the coyote playing ball? It’s worth a giggle, too. Who is the smart one? The species that enjoys play and engineer play? Thanks for joining the pack
