Interviews? No.

Queen reclining on fur. Actress Geraldine Farrar.1908 (USPD, artist life/

It appears Staff has no sense of timing these days. (USPD/

Staff: “Are you responsible for this? (Gesturing out the window at the flowerbed).

Are you holding interviews without telling us?”

(HRH taking her own sweet time opening her eyes and stretching as if time had no limit…Knowing darn well it was irritating)

RC Cat: “Need to know: No. An acquaintance with permission to meditate in the Outer Realm.

Her yard is so drab….Ours, so full of birds beautiful things.

Besides the neighborhood is so busy with S.A.D.. Sunny spots are being disturbed.”

Staff: “S.A.D.? How does depression have anything to do with sunny spots? Crowds soaked up all the Vitamin D?”

RC Cat: “S.A.D, not sad, Lesser Creature. It’s all the Seasonal Arrangement Decorating that humans are manically doing right now. Amusing to watch at as distance; annoying to be disturbed by a ladder leg while getting some rays. I told her she could lounge here until her realm was quiet again.”

Staff: “You didn’t suggest she herd some lizards over towards your window?”

RC Cat: “One does as one wishes. If she is so inclined out of kindness for Our largesse….”

“Come on. Just a little closer to the window. Please. It’s the price of admission to a kid free zone.”(USPD/

Staff: “As long as it’s only a sanctioned visit with an end date. There are no vacancies at this time.”

RC Cat. “She’s just curious. About food insecurity.

A kind soul busy with a realm of her own, she is spreading the word that if any cat bowl contains food nervous about being forgotten, she will be glad to provide her tooth and tummy as a comfort zone.”

Staff: “A reminder why we do not have a cat door in this house…possums, squirrels…”

RC Cat: “Wise. The Molly seems to think those are all some sort of weird cat.

Oh, We want to go on record that We do not wish, expect, or need a Travel Lift this year.”

Staff: “What? A travel lift? Why on earth would that even come up?”

RC Cat: “Dunderhead. Often before the Overabundant Feast of Much Preparation, We are abruptly lifted (over objections) and forced to travel. We shall happily stay home this year.

We have already seen and approved a cold turkey.

Cold turkey. So many people are always talking about how hard going cold turkey is, yet how worth the effort. We do admit it seemed rather bowling ball solid, yet trust Staff to soften it in the dry wall sauna somehow. Yes, yes, have confidence, Turkey-in-waiting. You do not need to feel insecure about Staff’s abilities.”

Staff: “Well, appreciate the compliment. If that is all, I’ll return to my duties.

Let me turn your heated bed up a little bit to keep you comfy. Thankfully, no cat any interviews for a few years yet, OK, RC? Yes, purrfect agreement.”

RC Cat: “For once. Do not get used to it.

Notice The Paw is waving?

Au revoir.”

This lovely is already taken.. she has 2 homes actually – like shared kid custody….still cats tend to hedge their bets and back a back up plan…so I guess we are plan “C”.She’s a stray that showed up and was welcomed by the neighbor across the street. Her elegant black cat resented the younger intruder, so the babe has her own cat condo in their garage…but wait! She has stolen the heart of the 2 guys next door to her ( one who swore he hated cats until this one “chose” know how they do that.) They let her in early every morning to lounge around and eat until she wants to go out..and in…and out. In cold/bad weather/hurricanes they lock her in – thrilled when I told them about disposable litter boxes…they swore they’d never have a litter box. Yep, one sweet smart kitty.
RC has not given approval yet – and taking in a new one might be more than we can do at this time if considering a move. But RC generally welcomes friends In to her garden. …but hates if if they look in her window…just too pushy as if they are evaluating options.
Thanks for fluffing up a comment to leave

This Thanksgiving of no travel/no family visiting is different for being, er, recommended, rather than chosen, but so long as RC approves, all is (and all will stay) well. She is demonstrating her royal catpacity for generosity in allowing the new girl on the fringes. Tabby stripes may designate “commoner” to some, but the purrsonality inside is what matters! Nothing wrong in being Plan C 🙂
Have a satisfying, calm, cat and dog pleasing holiday — don’t even think about what comes next… as if that’s possible (ha! – Santa & reindeer are already in place on the Knoll, Star lit above town, and Samson is truly glowing in purple here) Hershey sends paw waves– me, too – and scratches in good places to Molly!

Plan C… great. Cats are certainly deep thinkers. Interesting to hear how skillfully she manipulated her way into the heart of that anti-feline neighbor.

So good to hear RC Cat has graciously allowed her to visit her domain.

Your neighborhood cruiser is better than my neighborhood cruiser, who prefers to dine on the birds at my feeder. I don’t live in the country, and I don’t have a 12-gauge, but if I did: well. We’ve been trying to catch the beast for a couple of weeks wtih no lunch. It’s very well fed. Now that I think about it, the wandering bird snatcher looks remarkably like your visitor. Surely, not…

Purrhaps indeed! I love watching neighborhood cats when I walk.

Always glad to hear from readers.
