Bad operator

Clouds are undependable.

All full of themselves: offering promises they can’t keep. Drama guaranteed – but not reliability.

I see you. All fluff and bluster with no action raining down. (© image)

And the clouds parted.

(You expect some words of wisdom now? OK will this do?)

Quote about stupid people not being bright ( calendar)

Yes. (calendar image)

Who knew sunshine was endangered?

  The Sunshine Protections Act

The world is really lucky someone noticed. (Florida’s U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and Sen. Marco Rubio)

Maybe it’s not too late.

Maybe we can collect some of the remnants of vanishing sun, encourage and pamper it until strong again – and release it back into the wild during January when it’s really needed.

Of course a Congressional committee must be formed to find out who is responsible for the crisis.

No one wants to be left in the dark over these things.

“Do it for the children!” That usually works

Rubio’s trying that: “One small step we can take to help ease the burden of the COVID pandemic on families.”

Scott tags teams with “… more time for people to enjoy all Florida has to offer.” Like Disneyland. Kids love Disneyland

Hesitant to point out ….you know you can get bullied so badly these days by not parroting the popular mantras…I though we were all into Following The Science (I think that’s a new game show). Changing the clock really doesn’t make any more or less sunshine…But will waiting on confirmation of that by the ones in charge before saying it too loudly…don’t want to hurt the feelings of the Fact Challenged.

Besides it’s dark enough here. That darn tornado requested never showed up.

(Can I reorder?)

Blog operation note: I’m a bad blogger.

  • Not replying to readers’ comments in a timely fashion
  • Slipping invisibly through your posts without even leaving a calling card (“Likes” are so non-engaging, sort of disloyal. I waver about those. Sigh.)
  • Disheartened – not with readers, or blogging, or really even WP. It’s worse.

Unfortunately the tornado approach didn’t work (Too risky calling up a hurricane even for this)

Still dealing with the Toxic One-who-shall-not-be-named. It’s draining, distracting, and disruptive.  Only for a bit longer. After that: then hasta forever. Adiós.

I escape outdoors as much as possible away from phone, texts, email, – and don’t even try tossing a rock over the fence with a note attacked – or ask a “friend’ to do so – or try borrowing a “friend’s” cell phone. On to all that.

It’s that much fun.

All I can say is “breathe”, Karma works, and I know there’s a God because treadmills were invented.

Thanks for wandering by. Hope all your clouds have humorous shapes and your stored data floats safe.

Any chance we can just freeze them?…oh, ok thaw them out later. Suspended animation – a cure for wrinkles….maybe sell the experience as that HAHA
Thanks for the glowing remark (made me smile!)

We were promised a hurricane [“Medicane” they called it, or “Ianos” here in Greece], but I doubt it’ll land here in Athens… BTW I know exactly how bullied one can get for not parroting those popular mantras!!! 😉
Hope you’re well, my friend! 🙂

Checked in with the BBC and lanos may make it your way :0
Normally the Mediterranean is so blue and lovely – we always dreamed of sailing there – not knowing about the same vicious storms can stir things up there, too. (rather a DUH moment, I know). All those lovely sailboats! (the giant yachts probably left of the owners of those can afford the loss/repairs. Sailors more often struggle to buy the sailboat.) A bit of rain might be welcomed, so I hope that’s all that fills your day…Hera can just nap so long! A small cool front is here today making the morning dog walk just delightful. Nothing like a cool walk to make things better!
      Paw waves and take care.

West coast is getting hit harder, if we do, we’ll be getting some rain, nothing more. Mind you, living on a top floor of a tall building has us located in the …Wuthering Heights, so to speak, so the slightest wind is really felt up there. But as of yesterday, everything is tied up with ropes and all small pots inside, so… 😉 As for Hera, she always takes cover in the smallest room of the house… the bathroom [small one!] 🤣😂
Paw waves back and you too take care and enjoy the cool walk! 🙂

          You’re making me seasick HAHA.
Buildings do sway – and stuff getting flung/crashing into them is a bit unsettling. Hera may need some of those boat shoes with nonskid tread.
Hope you have a great weekend

I’m a bad blogger, too, sometimes not even hitting the Like button. Laughed about the glow stick comparison. If only it was that easy. *sigh* Sorry you didn’t get the requested tornado and that things are still challenging.

Our hurricane Sally gave us one day of rain, and I had looked forward to sleeping instead of walking for at least two days, as promised.

Personally I’d like to smack people with the glow stick. Does that make me a violent person? Make one with violent fantasies. So much stuff here. Sometimes I feel guilty just leaving a “like” but if I don’t have a thought, I can’t make a comment happen.

We’ve had clouds, thunderstorms, and lightning shows all without more than a spattering of rain, although we did get a good rain (very different in Arizona than elsewhere) when I wasn’t home. However, if we ever got the 2′ that Florida or elsewhere got during the hurricane, the entire state would be washed away. “Monsoon” season here is a misnomer at best.

As for “liking” and leaving, I try not to do that very often. I always try to comment because I appreciate comments as well as “likes” (and thanks for being part of that.) But sometimes I just can’t keep up, especially with people who post multiple times per day. In that case, I visit and like and comment on one and skip the others. 🙂

I’ve resorted to likes more often recently, because so many people who are sequestered at home are posting more and more often: first daily, then twice a day, then just because it seemed a good idea. I can’t keep up with that, and don’t try. It wouldn’t be long before I was doing nothing but commenting, and not putting up any posts myself. Ah, me.

How did you like that transformation from TD22 to TS Beta? I couldn’t believe that in two hours we rolled right past Wilfred and Alpha. Enough, already! I just checked the NHC forecast, and I do believe that I’d better top off the gas tank, get a bit of cash, and lay in some more crackers and cheese. Maybe a six-pack, too. This isn’t amusing any more!

I’ve been a bad blogger too. It’s overwhelming with so much to do on our little ranch this time of year, and it seems more people are writing – I just can’t keep up. I hit the like button a lot. Plus, I’ve had to just quit reading some folk’s blog posts. It’s clear that Covid and politics have caused the stoopid to come out.

Autumn is in the air here. I am so ready for those fall rains and cooler temps. The leaves are already turning color and some dropping. The woodland floor is a light carpet of gold and a little red now. We closed our pool last weekend. And of course I’m always excited to see if we get any residual rain from the hurricanes that hit the southern coast. It happens sometimes, and it’s always welcome!

Looks like another hurricane is coming your way… or maybe a dozen. Hard to tell anymore. You almost have more hurricanes than we have fires. I did say almost, however. I choose not to temp the weather or fire gods. They have little sense of humor. Don’t worry about being a bad blogger. It’s the nature of the beast to take up more and more time. And life happens. 🙂 –Curt
