Sugar up for health and safety

Halloween car. 1914 postcard with fruits and veggetables and a car with a humanoid face ((USPD. pub.date, artist life/Commons.wikimedia.org)

Forced deceiving grimaces, not friendly smiles. Do not fall for it!(1914.USPD/Commons.wikimedia.org)

Artifacts clearly prove the menace is ancient and real.

Who knows what the Veggie carjackers did to force that old woman to drive them.

Oh, unimaginable horrors!

Holler-Ring, the only hope!

Disguise your children with gaudy costumes – no matter how flimsy or how view-limiting the masks. Better skinned knees than to get into runs with gut wrenching veggies. Marauding Vegetables are such seedy characters.

Encourage all to make such a cacophony of noise while running wildly, manically, about to crush the Orange Invaders into mush.

Fling small sugary treats with great abandon.

Let the Organics see they are not wanted!

Bring supposedly benign produce into your home at your own peril.

They could turn rotten and cause your heart to burn.

People find dirt on everyone of them. Even one of their own found himself in a pickle of rejection.

Holler-Ring field command is given to The Molly. We shall direct the campaign from a nice, quiet, closet corner…perhaps accompanied by protective catnip mousie. Until the dawn.(© Image)

Harrumph to all disbelievers!

Be brave and stalwart! Soon the Holler-Ring Season will be done.

Yours in solidarity

Ofcourse, leave your tribute of can food at the Press Room exit

As a token of your appreciation for Our great concern on your behalf.

No. Small chewy candies are not proper substitute for tribute cans of food.

Good try, but no.

Do not whine about frugalness or holiday fare.

It is unbecoming – even for humans.

Woman in costume. 1920. Realart Pict./Exhibitors Herald (USPD.artist life, pub.date/Commons.wikimedia.org)

Talk about frightening: This isn’t a costume, but 1920 fashion. Foolish humans, so determined to shed the hair given preferring a removable coat, and, thus, have been struggling with their poor choices ever since. Dunderheads.(USPD/Commons.wikimedia.org)

For those who need more convincing: (Or need a reference anthology to fill their time)

I am RC Cat and I approve this message.

Do not mumble. Staff has been given short visa in order to supervise packers and movers elsewhere. We were begged to “write something – anything”. Of course We had no difficulty assisting. She also says that all are quietly optimistic after family member’s last round of tests and meeting with specialists there. The tightrope being walked has widened to a sidewalk. A real treat. Thanks

Do not whine about frugalness or holiday fare.

I like that thought and shall, with your permission, adopt it as my own whilst navigating the next few overwrought months of forced frivolity.

RC Cat: “Excellent. We trust you shall not confuse “wine” with “whine”. Would be most unfortunate. A cheery paw wave for your eagerness to modify behavior to a more elevated state. Yes, Yes, sophisticated applause at that.”

Those who niggle over Halloween sugar are likely to be of the “we never give gifts at Christmas” persuasion. Commercialism has done in both holidays, but those memories of Halloween popcorn balls and caramel apples are just as sweet as Christmas candy canes. You’ll pry either from my cold, dead (skeleton-fingered) hands!

Good news on the home front. That’s sweet, too.

RC Cat: “There is no happy life without revels – Yes, Yes, even cats have been glimpsed cavorting on occasion.”
Staff, sneaking in here, “Oh, the houses that made caramel apples and sticky popcorn balls were legendary. Had to go there before they ran out…the smug people handing out toothbrushes probably offered the same packages year after year as we also knew not to bother there. Halloween, a holiday that became too popular – and unfortunately too full of real horror. We had it during the best of times!”

Glad to hear the good news about the relative! We had our trick or treat night last Friday and we went out to dinner. The homes on our street are too far apart to be a good area to accumulate treats. Sadly after years of getting stuck with treats which we had to consume ourselves, we get out of Dodge just in case an errant marauder comes down our street.

RC Cat: ” No better way to celebrate. Treating yourself is always wise – and benefits the community!…keeps the little urchins safely off the roadways as they know nothing is waiting for them. Win-when! A paw salute for your brilliance and community service”

I feel sorry for that pickle. He doesn’t look too happy at being flung out of the veg-mobile.

RC Cat “We ponder whatever that poor veggie could have done to be so discarded. He cannot help being sour – it is his nature, not an intentional treasonous act! Still, it could be a Trojan horse type ploy: He’s a sweet one, let him in…the next thing you know lettuce and tomatoes would be rolling in, too! Beware on Holler-Ring!”

RC Cat, “Ah, how delightful the Queen of CO. Holler-Ring stopped by to give a weather forecast. We have seen pictures of Ella’s new Denver digs…and We do mean digs as in the dogs are having to dig out to get out. Bundle up little ones…as in furless human creatures. The chill is real, not just from spooky! ….(We are chill into close to freezing and Staff has plugged in Our bed warmer…We shall dream of snowy trick or treats, while basking in cozy)
Stay warm and bright during this Holler-Ring delight. Most wonderful time of year.”
