The play’s the thing

Malamute ready to talk. (image: copyrighted, all rights reserved, no permissions granted)

In honor of the first day since early spring that it’s been under 90F, I warted my owners my staff rewarded me with some time with my buddies at the pool. (image:©)

Now this is a pack of pups. The salt water pool is much more fun than the beach which has those stupid unruly waves that smack you in the face burning your eyes or rudely splat you in the butt. And none of that itchy sandy grit in the toes or nose or car on the way home. The newly installed artificial grass solved the muddy water issue. (Image:© )

On a count of free, race ya’ to the other side. Last one in the pool is a show dog! (image ©)

Of course no pawty is complete without the hokey-pokey’s “Shake it all about”. (Image:© )

What? Do I look like a frisbee catching dog? Try that Labrador over there. (image ©)

“Surely there’s been some mistake. No one said anything about bath and pedicure this morning. No, I’m not ready to get out….especially for a nail trim. (image: © )

Hope your weekend plays out perfectly.

Just, for your own sake, ignore the pumpkins stacked and the Santa’s already being unpacked.

Do not go gently into that plight.

Phil, the Philosopher Mouse of the Hedge

seasonal decorations for fall (Hobby Lobby adv./hobbylobby.org)

Their marketing is making an early play for your attention . The scarecrows have been barely unpacked, but are already on sale at Hobby Lobby. They have to make room for Christmas: the Christmas aisles currently available are hardly room enough. Is it the fault of Daylight Savings Time? That started getting people to believe it was one time when actually it was another…(image Hobbylobby.org – but you can see it all for real in the stores…don’t step on the snowmen.)

The Santas are not waiting in the wings. Christmas is already perched all along their walls and spilling down the aisle. I was too stunned to take an actual store picture. Geesch, it’s 46 days to peak hurricane season, back to school just started this week, and what about Halloween and Thanksgiving? Ancient relative would say people are rushing themselves to death. Staff: resort owners always warn people that at first some dogs do try to drink the water at first (It’s not like they don’t have buckets of fresh water under the shade pavilion) – and beware… Luckily Molly has chosen the fresh beverages. Now if we get Ella OK-ed for the pack, we’ll have to watch her. This morning once again we had fresh coolish north breezes – so unusual, be so welcomed. We can actually sit out for a bit. Hope some cool finds you place soon, too. Thanks for watering down the comment field

I’ll bet there are some Parisian poodles who’d be envious if they knew about this.

Whew – we know what those temps feel like. (greatly appreciate these past few days and the chance to get back outside)
Did you see the chocolate Eiffel Tower in front of the real one? Melting like the witch in Wizard of Oz! Fingers crossed that weather pattern doesn’t cross over. Thanks for stirring up a comment to leave

Of course, I shall have to charge modelling fees for our Logi. Just wondering how you got him there!

We always get a grin at Logi’s pix. It appears some of Molly’s relatives drifted off on a wandering ice flow at the end of the last ice age melt. Paw waves in solidarity and thanks for splashing down here

What fun! Oh to be as carefree as a dog. Oblivious to holiday decorations and decorum.

I woke up to 63 degrees! Yeowza! Cats are loving it too. Too bad they don’t like water. Those dogs are having a ball.

Yes, yes. Not that cool here, but we were just sitting outside. Cat in the window nose to the breeze. Ahhhh.
Everyone outside – the roasting will return.
Joyful waves! (even the fish must be jumping with glee)

What a marvelous break for a dog! I wonder if there is a public place where you can swim with your dog, like swimming with dolphins.

The beach? Although a pool sounds like a good idea – although there might be health issues with multiple dogs/owners. Private dog parks here are more attractive since all dogs must have medical/health records on file, and each dock is evaluated to make sure they are socialized and will not cause a problem before they are allowed in the off leash general play. Luckily this one is close to us and managed/staffed by qualified people. Dogs need to run and run in when they can to get in shape and generally behave better…and some say dogs are like 3 yr old kids HAHA
Thanks for jumping in with a comment

I stopped by to let you know…I got this e-mail from Brian’s (LordBeariOfBow) daughter Sarah:

“Dad is still in hospital. Very frail. Had an operation yesterday to put a stent in his valve. They said it went well. He has a scan on Monday to check.
He will appreciate every ones thoughts – thank you for checking on him and sending love and best wishes. I will pass them on.
He is looking forward to writing a blog about his admission.”

I love the doggie fun you captured in photos! 🙂 My dog, Cooper, gives your post 2 paws up! 😀
