It’s alive. Subterfuge on schedule.
They came. They mowed. They weed-whacked with precision and purpose.
Yet, the stout-hearted, rebel princess, they did not kill.
What they saw as her desperate effort, her futile attempt,
Her despair of where.
Earned reprieve.
Respected her grit.
(And her beauty didn’t hurt. If you got it flaunt it.)
“Fools!” she marveled. “Not the wit to see.”
“Let the invasion begin. Inch by inch we shall reclaim the lands which by planted rights are ours!”
No sitting on the fence.
As with most things, either you’re in or you’re out.

I promised someone I’d go back and see if it was still there – and the blooming thing was. Gave me a smile. Thanks for pedaling over to leave a happy note.

We actually suspect there’s another little colony that has slipped in around the corner. Must find out what they are as they are really pretty ( and coated Molly’s face with yellow pollen – dog sneezes way over there, please!

That’s a gorgeous plant, for sure. I think it’s wonderful that it survived the onslaught — creeping beauty beats even the most beautiful creeps, every time!
I had the best weekend, driving some back roads in the Big Thicket. You should see the inside of my car. Sand! Red clay! More sand! There will be photos, for sure. It’s quite a different world up there!

I was going to ask — do you know anything about the new business going in on Marina Bay. It looks like a gas station (maybe) but the sign in front says “Skipper’s Harbor” or “Skipper’s Port” or some such. I wondered if Skipper’s cafe is expanding.

At least that brings hope it’s not “Dude Stop” (Shudder) like on NASA 1. Bright lights in any case. Hmmm, curious now.

We think it’s a Movement! (Another little clump has peeked out underneath a different wall segment…maybe it’s all that fresh rich dirt dust – like fairy dust?
I ran by your last post quickly and saw you’ve been on the road again (will head back your way tomorrow when may have a bit of time..next post will explain) – it is a whole different world in that Thicket – Sort and group those pix! Can’t wait to see what you found! Thanks for digging up a comment to leave here

Exactly. You wonder what kind of garden actually is behind that wall. Thanks for the flowery remark (and I’m way behind in my blog reading – tomorrow’s post will explain. Please excuse!)

I’ve just caught up with mine, spent about 7 hours going through email and posts on Sunday, or was it Monday? Kind of left me in a stupor not sure where I am

I loved that the Raptors came out of no where and blew them away! (It used to be a big thing to root for the underdog…but probably does’t play well on FB – until now!)
thanks for cheering along
