Fur shall fly

Expedia, Trip Advisor, or Travelosity. Which to trust.

We wander the keyboard wilderness crying for expertise.

Obviously We must take travel plans into Our own paws after witnessing the witless distracted by the yard.

Dunderheads! Hours spent landscraping. Why?

Seed catalogs? For what purpose? Look outside – there are plants enough. Suddenly appearing greenness happily mounds up and spreads over the grass even without invitation. Why Staff wastes time pulling up existing, willing plants to foolishly replace with temperamental demanding ones is a sickness.

What? Sometimes Staff will not take a hint. We must save them from themselves. (USPD/Commons.wikimedia.org)

Sigh. Travel is the only hope of distracting them from futile efforts.

This time of year We long for new horizons not short, unannounced Traveling Box trips which only end up with Us in small, cold rooms with unknown persons having the nerve to touch our fur without permission followed by embarrassing pokes and prods.

Yes, yes, and We have discovered a delightful travel option.

Who knew those silver hawks overhead actually carry passengers?

We love towering perches and the thought of soaring among birds is exhilarating...and there would be a greater chance of actually reaching out and touching one of those bird if moving among them rather than flailing wildly against window glass…

In advance of Our Announcement to staff, We have been doing some research.

It appears Staff can acquire flight training online.

Seriously. How difficult can it be?

Pretty open space in the sky and Staff somehow manages to maneuver the current ground level Traveling Box from place to place despite the numerous unpredictable obstacles.

We, Ourselves will be happy to assist by using a stick with a small net out the windows to remove delicious any birds in Our path.

The fact that there are currently some 500+ orders for this lovely, light, easy to fly, personal  Cirrus Vision Jet jet is not a deterrent.

Simply allows time for Staff  get up to speed and win the lottery – which Staff is always saying is inevitable and will solve all problems.

Staff is a quick study although One might have concerns – which is why We, being wise and sensible, are also considering a Sun Flyer 2.

The Sun Flyer 2 is the first FAA-certified, practical, all-electric airplane that uses no aviation fuel, so it produces zero emissions and significantly reduces noise pollution.

So purrhaps travel enthusiasts (and those who live in Hawaii or Puerto Rico) can convince AOC not to ban Sun Flyers.

It uses an iPad cockpit instrumentation display which should appeal to Staff. And the wait list is only 200+. (Watch the First flight for Sun Flyer 2)

Dive. Dive. Mousie at 6 o’clock! (AlphaLux webzine)

Most delightful is the stealth feature both offer….. just in case.

Just in case We suddenly spot an unsuspecting mousie on the ground and wish to swoop in attack glide down to surprise said mousie.

Not that We do not trust Staff, in some situations, a parachute might prove useful.

Sadly, your audience must now come to an end as there is much to do. Travel season will soon be here!

Reservations must be made.

And oh, yes, Staff must be inspired to learn to fly.

A paw wave to send you on your way.

Waving! Waving! Staff! We tire!

Single file to the exit. Dawdling is inadvisable.

Audience fini.

Don’t forget to leave an open can of salmon at the door as tribute.

We do trust you shall not try to cut in ahead of Us in the plane purchase reservation line.

We should take a very dim view of that.

Do not try to avoid The Eye of the Cat – We are watching…watching

Adieu, mon chere

There’s something rather George Jetson about this jet. Kind of like a cartoon idea made real. Wonder if Astro will want to go along for a ride?

RC Cat: “You are so observant and right about that. What the world needs now is more light and more funny. …maybe the Astro could fly separately tethered behind – like a water skier? Ah, yes, yes. We appreciate you mentioning previous designs. A cheery paw wave in thanks”

RC Cat,” We appreciate you visit to cheer us as the clouds once again are weeping at all the fog and cold here. We just know being able to soar above the grey and towards some sunny would bring such joy. Meanwhile, We shall curl up and snooze , until staff find the sky faucet and turn this watery mess off! An energetic paw wave for your thoughtful words!”

Those mounds of green are going to take over the world if things don’t dry out. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve heard grumping about not being able to mow because it’s too wet. Of course, that presents another problem. How will a solar aircraft do in cloudy conditions? Hmmmm……

RC Cat:”Staff is better than a groundhog to tell when you can see your shadow. Oh, we made a funny – chuckle along (or else). We were pleased staff has been diligent pulling out dollar weed in the soggy ground and attacking any clover that risks venturing here. Sat. had enough tolerable weather to get the mowing down, some hedge trimming and weed killer spread – yes, murdering weed – but before they emerge, so that leaves less guilt, We assure them. It’s “hauling the ugly garden time” – a phrase Olde Tiger said staff picked up from some recent arrival Vietnamese friends – who, while educated and well employed in their old home, never skipped a beat and quickly found money was to be made by working hard in the yard care business. He built a big company which is now run by the younger members of his family. Amazing person – who forgave us for doing Our own yard work HAHA
The aircraft shown are not solar but the new generation of “affordable” light, economic to fly, personal flyers. The second one is totally electric using batteries – you plug them in like an electric car. The flying range is pretty good – from coast to coast with a stop in CO to recharge. (There are other electric planes, but this ones making the industry take notice.) Many say this one will revolutionize the aircraft industry. (We do wonder if solar panels will be added on the wings in the future – but those panels are heavy and the trick with these two planes is the light weight.) You’ve got to love the parachute (which is also not a new or unique thing, but cool on these two!)
Fly like an eagle may actually be possible…but then that brings up what to do about flight traffic rules…if what is happening on the grounded roads is elevate….Ooooooh, nooooo!”
We greatly appreciate your landscraping observations…with the mud and dollar weed, it is land scraping in progress. Toodles and Cherrios…humans seem to like that cereal so much they use it as a pleasant salutation? Ah, We do the best we can to accommodate species idiot-syncrasy. A Grand paw wave for you!”

That is a fantastic little airplane, just wish it had been around in the late 1960’s when I took to the skies, I’d love to fly that machine. Makes the old Cessna’s and Victa Airtourers that I flew look like horse and buggy.
That’s a pretty smart cat you got there Staff

RC Cat, “Many say this new electric aircraft is a game changer. Now if it can take off vertically from the patio, We shall insist Staff purchase one. A happy paw pat to your shoulder in thanks of your astute character evaluation…but don’t let it go to your head.”

The bosses are pretty bossy to the staff! Of course, if the staff revolts, the boss will make short work of that.
