Tail End of the Party
The puparazzi was waiting. Valentines is not just for the barely furred. This a ball chasing crowd partied with as much abandon as Cinderellas and fellas.

What a cutie! I bet you wouldn’t get a bow on RC!

RC sniffed at that embellishment (“Acceptable”, she said, “for those insecure and need a billboard of self-value”) and stated Her fluff was elegance enough!
Molly sends a paw wave in thanks

My cats won’t even tolerate collars. Not that I have tried to put one on them.

We tried a sort of sweater harness once with dreams fo walking cat….within seconds it was the greatest impersonation of a limp dead cat

Once, about thirty years ago, on a planet far far away, I tried a leash. I lived to regret it. It’s amazing how heavy 10 pounds is when it doesn’t want to do something.

And they can turn on a dime. (Can sympathize with that CO hiker who found himself wrestling with that mountain lion…)

Yep didn’t get that one. They don’t attack unless they feel threatened.

Uh…. OK, then! I’m generally amused/put off/perplexed by animals in costume, but just as I would expect, Miss Molly’s gone the tasteful route!

She’s always wanted to be a ballerina..or princess…but RC Cat was paw down on that. Happily the dog washer who rinses mud off at the playground felt whimsical yesterday and came prepared for Valentines Day. Molly was so happy (it’s the sun!) we had to snap a pix. (Hope she doesn’t expect this every holiday…Rodeo and Mardi Gras next week, then St Pats and Cinco, not to mention Easter – she’ll need her own closet! Oy vez
Thanks for grinning along

It’s always a gamble with pets as to whether they’ll put up with costume, scarves or bows. My crew dislike all of it. Lollipop and Oscar would destroy any outer wear. In fact, when Lollipop was little we got her a bellyband with a skirt attached in case she had any accidents. Well, she hated it at the get go, and we found the whole thing in shreds when we got home a few hours later.

With all the rain, her playground/field to run in is extremely muddy, so we let the staff rinse her off before getting in the car after a few hours of running with friends. We heard them giggling in the back (The kids there all make a fuss over Molly..she has that soft soft coat…) Then Molly pranced out like a prima ballerina. Much more elegant than the typical bandana. She was in the process of removing it before she totally crashed on the couch. Paw wave from Molly in solidarity to dogs without costumes!

I think we had 3 days of sun in Jan. Our soil is a gumbo and once wet, it’s mud. We do have a place with large fields you can let dogs run ( and swim in warm weather, but that’s currently closed because of all the mud. Molly has to run – and misses her German Shepherd buddy, so we try to let her romp and socialize once a week with the pack of friends….having the dog herders/watchers there willing to rinse her off before getting back in the car is real luxury!

Nice bow! Molly rocks. After seeing that bow I feel like I was underdressed yesterday in my red basic t-shirt.

She danced out of the bathing area like a prima ballerina. If you’re gonna party, party big…and we do think she looked at our daily wear with “How can you embarrass me like that…”
Thanks for partying along

Looking glamorous as always!! Of course, fur fans everywhere want to know, which designer is she wearing? Poochie? Ruff Lauren? Vera Wag?

Looks like fun. But I’d get some really dirty looks if I tried to do that to Annie. Maybe if I let her choose the ensemble …

We were totally amused when we came to pick her up from running wild in the mud with friends in the fields – and after a bath. The dog washers were in a holiday mood. Molly did look very pleased with herself …as she has those negligent parents who forget to buy Halloween costumes and holiday attire. Danced like a prima ballerina to the car…but shortly was ready to shed sleep hindering attire and get comfy…barely got the pix.
Back to cold and rainy for the next few days – we got out for a little sun yesterday, but this grey is getting seriously old.
Paw waves to Annie! Thanks for leashing a comment here
