This one’s pretty rough – like “Hello Kitty” gone bad.
Seems to be snarling and threaten other vehicles through the mesh cage. (“Back off suburbanites.”)

Did it roll off with a fast crowd who steered it to go where no golf cart should go?
Drifting at drag races with bad boys like the electric Chevy eCopo Camaro that pops wheelie and does a 9 second quarter mile could inspire a dangerous self-image.
The need for speed it’s undoing.
Could have simply had enough of the games people play.
Doesn’t look very compliant or willingly returning to rolling the greens and the not so easy rider.
Future escape attempts suggested by those narrowed eyes and hat jammed crooked and defiant.
When golf carts go bad, maybe walking the course is a safer, healthier, smarter choice.
Their batteries do run down eventually; you just have to keep ahead of them and not fall down. (Movie script being written as we speak…)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one being transported before! Here they stay corralled on golf courses. I hear they have a pretty active social life there.

Golf carts do get around. Popular in some communities near golf courses as transportation for pre-teens and those without drivers’ licenses to impress the girls – especially in summer (not legal of course, unless adult is driving to golf course)
Here there’s a huge black market for stolen golf carts sold at flea markets, eBay, neighborhood social media – and trucked to other places and sold/resold. The city golf courses chain them up in the “barn” and now remove the batteries at night. Not sure exactly what happened to that one, but it looked pretty rough and like it was recovering from a night on the town. How do you keep them down on the golf course after they seen the teen scene? HAHA

We laugh over the past couple of years at one young preteen boy who drapes himself across the from seat with his radio blaring being Joe Cool in front of all the pretty young giggling girls sauntering around the neighborhood. Life is such a comedy show

I’m still laughing from reading the title and imaging a rouge golf cart careening down the streets, on to people’s lawns, and creating all sorts of havoc. 🙂 Where my parents live, there are lots of golf carts and some of the older people driving them can get a bit crazy. You always have to pay attention, that’s for sure.

We’re between marinas and golf courses. You see golf carts careening down sidewalks/back streets heading to target, restaurants and the gathering spot to watch the sunsets. It can get a bit crazy especially in the summer with all the loud music and liquidly fortified drivers and passengers. (Dogs and standing toddlers seem to be popular designated drivers)

A few neighbors have golf carts that they drive around our suburban streets. We are nowhere near a golf course so it’s weird. I like the one in the cage. It looks ferocious, unlike the ones around here that have a Walter Mitty look to them.

That one had a ton of personality (Did they have to use a whip or wrench to get it boarded into that trailer?) Since the area legalized adults driving registered/safety checked golf carts on some back streets/sidewalks, there’s been a ton of them…with a lot of kids not quite old enough to have car driver’s licenses…
I should do a photo essay on all the golf carts (we’re between marina, golf course, restaurants. local spot to watch the sunset and so the area allows some golf cart use). Not the simple old golf carts any more – expensive, can ride up to 6 adults, personalized, and stylishly elegant. Whew. Fancy toys…or could be cheaper and more economic to use than a car? Besides those are easier for dogs and small standing children to drive?

I’d be concerned about that canopy going wonky and being torn off the top! We sold our electric buggy. The batteries were a lot of trouble and very costly. A person has to think of the disposal of all of those (the buggy had eight batteries). We now have a gas-powered Kawasaki Mule. I’m not excited about fossil fuels, but it’s a lot less work and maintenance and towing power is better. I will miss the quiet of the buggy, though. No more sneaking up on wildlife.

Does it look like it’s been rolled? Golf carts get stolen so much in the area and taken for joy rides. Many are stolen and sold on eBay/flea markets. A big problem for the city golf courses who chain them up and take the batteries out at night now.
I know why you mean by enjoying quiet transportation – sail boats are much quieter than motor boats – and much more relaxing. Eventually better and less toxic batteries will be developed- but right now few are actually aware at how environmentally damaging batteries are. (thought you might be interested in this article – something electric car people didn’t expect – we have the same trouble in our hot weather…https://www.apnews.com/04029bd1e0a94cd59ff9540a398c12d1 ) People just don’t think sometimes – just want to believe new is better. I imagine the wild life can’t wait for all of us to get on rockets and head elsewhere.
