The Naughty and The Nices

You know how hard it is to get everyone posed and smiling just right for Christmas pictures…

Two German Shepherds sitting under the tree. Trying to impress Santa to haul gifts to three. Ella to Rocky, “Hey, you already got your Christmas gift: a forever home with lovely me….No, I am not your girl friend. Big sister – your beautiful, wise, and sensible big sister…I do not like Scooby best. I like both of you.”(© image)

No one would have ever had the nerve to suggest to The German that she get costumed up and pose with some odd, possibly hiding his identity to what purpose stranger in order to participate in some unexplainable human holiday. The pink sockies were almost more embarrassment than she could tolerate.

A brief review of the cast:

These three dogs belong to Person and OLP, not me. As with The German who was an elegant, dedicated canine occasionally needing a quiet, safe place to relax, our Realm’s RC Cat happily granted Ella visas to visit The Molly in the past, but adding the brothers is a whole different level of consternation.  Now she just clenches her eyes and folds her ears shut if invitations are being discussed. There is a limit to what can be asked.

While not the serious military grade German Shepherds, they are quite a cast of characters we enjoy keeping up with.

  • How Ella (in the middle) arrived to her forever home: “Farmersonly.com too far afield.”
  • Christmas arrive early for Scooby (right) when he arrived as Ella’s trainee and companion: “Lone Rode Home”
  • There’s always the kid in the group who wears the leather jacket, rides the motorcycle and is the rebel because… Here’s how Rocky also joined Person’s pack (No vacancy! That sign is out at Person’s realm, too!)  “A pack, man.”

Ella, “Rocky, no. Yuck. I’m not your kissin’ cousin either. Why can’t you be like Scooby? Look at his impressive Rin-tin-tin pose. Come on and shape up. Show Person she was right bringing you home, too. If Santa’s boot is pushing on your toe, there’s probably good reason. Think about it. You might think about going around OLP (Our Little Person) instead of reindeer leaping over him when he’s in your way…a little scary to the adults even if OLP isn’t worried. Use the Go Around technique instead and maybe we’ll get to attend his birthday parties instead of being stuck in doggy daycare. The pack party and running in the fields was good, but being forced to tolerate sitting still with some random guy in a fuzzy red suit that smells like assorted dogs? Person will hear about this….”  (© image)

Christmas is a-comin’ and pack control is getting lax…

Please put some Canna-pet, pheromone diffuser  dog treats in the reindeer’s’ sled’s pack.

If you ha’nt got dog treats, then couch pillows chew toys will do

If you haven’t got chew toys, then run, run Rudolf!

Snap it quickly! “Who’s the Top Dog?” Wild eyed Rocky laughs. “There may be a controlling boot on my tail, but notice who’s got the top foot out front! RC of their Realm, Princess Ella, of course, looks picture perfect. Smooth as jazz, Scooby always sits for food with only a little reminder to stay. Yes, Santa is getting a bit tired. Managing a team of reindeer probably seems like elf play by now.(© image)

Maybe a game of chase the elf, too? Or round of strip the tree of crunchable ornaments? Yeah, as much fun as those sound….
Molly is asking Santa for a sled to pull like her ancestors …with the option of putting a couple of hoverboards on the runners for a snowless odd road location.
Who knows what Santa will bring very good dogs? Paw waves and thanks for joining the sittin’

OMD! That’s like 200 pounds of dog to manage. Poor Santa! A team of reindeer would seem easier. Great picture though. If they ever visit, I want a picture of RC Cat plotting her revenge on you!

You know that old saying “raised by wolves”…
We got such laughs over these emailed pictures…what a comedy show that must have been. (We’re still waiting not he human version (without dogs so we’ve been told). The dog pack has been tutored on obedience training and apparently the 3 of them enjoy walking their Staff and OLP in a wagon or trike almost every afternoon…no doubt the entire neighborhood knows them from their strolls (Their staff swears they are completely docile and obedient on leash…it’s off leash in the house that’s rather rambunctious…)
Santa better toss some treats down the chimney before he visits their hearth
Thanks for adding a chuckle and a comment

There is nothing more precious than animal rambunctiousness. Doesn’t matter if its a pile of kitties, puppies or some adult ones. It’s always good for a giggle. Animal videos are better than Valium.

Ha! The trio is quite photogenic- shame YLP wasn’t in the mix, too. I “heard” your version of Christmas is coming as sung by Miss Piggy, minus the Oh Kermy at the end 😉

I think you’ve selected the perfect performers for that song!
(We’ve been expecting OLP to request a saddle – or Roman chariot – to use with the dogs. Wild as they are, he’s able to flop anthem and shove them around without blinking… Once he moves to a big boy bed, it better be a big one as no doubt all the dogs will want to cuddle in…well, maybe Ella will continue to prefer staying close to Person at night…she’s is prefers manners…boys, not so.
      Thanks for singing along!

A brave person it is who brought a pack of 3 (one wild-eyed) GSD’s to Santa’s boot, er, knee.

While GSD do take training well, you get a pack of them in a small area and it’s all excited tails, ears, noses, and paws everywhere. We got some real laughs from these emailed pictures – each dog has a definite personality – and it shows.
Their staff is certainly braver than this one (Although surprisingly enough the 3 dogs really love to sanely walk their staff through the neighborhood with OLP in a wagon or on trike. What a sight that must be!)
      Thanks for giggling along

These pictures gave us such a laugh. It is a pack of clowns…better their house than ours! (RC is right sometimes.) Thanks for adding a jingle comment

They love group hugs…as well as group crashes into you…or everyone on the couch for multiple lapdogs on one lap. A congenial bunch for sure. Paw waves and thanks for romping along

And that’s the way it should be.

I’m thinking that Santa may have been the good sport here, although dogs (and cats) tolerating Christmas antics may win the prize. –Curt
