Green and madness. Just a rehearsal

Runway ready. FLying Little TIkes Car by Flite Test (Youtube screenshot)

Future’s economical personal transportation runway ready. Flying Little Tikes Car.(Flite Test.Youtube)

Massive error message blinking: Did we spring ahead too far? April 1st already?

Could have fooled me.

First it’s Elon Musk announcing flights to Mars will happen by first half of next year (although those early arrivals may die).

Mumblings of “who’s your emperor” and “might be sensible to start a secondary human colony…just in case…”

“Space X Mars spaceship will be ready for short trips by 2019” (Video of SXSW surprise question and answer session. Who inspires Elon? Fred Astaire and Kanye West.)

Talk about things going up: something’s racing at mind-boggling speed in California: the bullet train between LA and San Francisco

Started in 2008 at a projected $13 billion dollars, it’s now been revised to at least $77 billion and functioning by 2029…or later (and to be subsidized until 2050+ if it doesn’t make enough money) “Cost for CA high speed rail soars” (CBS San Francisco)

Now read that first story again…Mars. By next year.

More rattling than a speeding bullet train is that President Trump has told Idaho’s insurance companies (another major lobbyist group) that they must follow Obama Care rules and regulations – it’s the law.

Insurance companies must continue to cover preexisting conditions, cannot charge more due to age, and basically everything in Obama Care – or the companies will be fined per day per person if not compliant. Will wonders never cease? Law is the law and must be obeyed.

“Trump Administration blocks Idaho’s plan to circumvent Healthcare Law” (NY Times)

Must be what they mean about March Madness.(Photoplay/USPD/Commons.wikimedia.org)

Something wacky is going on.

Not even April 1st.

Surely too early for St Patrick’s Day being served up.

Not fair. Bleary with Daylight Savings Time shift.

Not to mention glazed over with allergy remedies due to high pollen season. (See. A logical holiday: everything’s already covered with green!)

Oh, even the door mat is getting ready for the wearing of the green. Seriously. Does it think it’s Cinderella or something? You never know. Stepping lightly is always a good idea.(© Image)

If this is Spring’s dress rehearsal, hang on and get the belly laughs ready.

Phil, the Philosopher Mouse of the Hedge.

And don’t toy with me? Are you sure? HAHA

I don’t know about speeding trains – I mean even the slowpoke trains crash – I don’t know – I am behind the times I suppose. But I think I am happy with my rattly city (stop at every stop) train. I quite like that it takes an hour. I am tired today – why am I tired? I love too much endless grey cold weather said nobody EVER – they can put this weather on a high speed train out of here. c

To a cow – all of them are speedy. (Seems to me that the grill that used to be in front of train engines shouldn’t have been called “cow catchers” but “cow bumpers” or “moo movers”.)
That continuous grey is definitely energy sapping – all you want to do is sleep – no chance of that with farm animals. Chilly here, but sunny…and a heavy load of pollen dust – still better than grey. Will try to whoosh some sunny and warmer your way. Thanks for jumping on board with a comment

Perhaps Elon Musk should build the speeding bullet. He’s certainly faster. If it gets built by the government (any government) it’s doomed to cost exponentially more and be delayed eons. Send some pollen my way. Still freaking cold here.

Wasn’t I planned to post about today, but those two stories – one after another – was just so nuts. I know CA has mountains, but ya know, there are obstacles getting to Mars, too….
(Chilly but sunny…if you can see through the pollen haze…will get a broom and try sweep some sun your way) Thanks for snorting along

What I’m reading is we need a bullet train to Mars by St Patrick’s Day to avoid healthcare charges, is that right?

Yes, but you cannot utilize bump stops (those would make standing room only passengers sprained too many ankles requiring medical assistance.).
Thanks for adding to the comment baggage! (Hope your spring break is sunny and wild!)

Nice to learn that Cadet Bone Spurs is actually doing something that helps people. Cannot imagine how that happened, but will happily acknowledge it. Maybe the time change got him confused.

That’s my theory, too. Or maybe people can change. (Maybe when this cold hearted weather breaks and spring renewal begins, humanity will warm up and grow, too?) Thanks for giggling along

Looneytunes. The world’s gone Looneytunes. You’ve given us a brilliant summary of the situation! Also: The 👑Princesses 👑asked me to ask you if Bob plans to travel to Mars. 😉

Too many Blue Moons? Meteors confusing electrical/magnetic impulses? Don’t care it it’s cabin fever from all the dreary winter weather – March madness news to strike for some sanity, kindness, and logical reasoning. Hope you and the Princesses are snug and warm – will have to run by and check , but must be MIA while we have a day or two of mild weather to get yard into shape for summer. (Bob is currently sneaking online to Amazon to look for additional false suns/lamps – he feels lack of sunlight is the cause of most madness …and wants to make sure RC Cat gets plenty of rays…….Oh, she heard that and sends a quick paw wave as she stomps over to have a chat with someone…)
Thanks for marching in with a comment

The bullet train idea has been going on forever in California, I knew people already lobbying for it way back when I was serving on the Transit Board and fighting to bring light rail to Sacramento in the mid 70s.
Yesterday was Pi day, as Linda pointed out. So maybe we were dealing with pie in the sky as opposed to April Fools. Peggy and I were just glad they could get the snow cleared off the runways at Logan Airport in Boston so we could land.Lowered expectations in the world of mass transit, perhaps, but doable. –Curt

The English have a silly season; seems like some Americans are yearning for the good ol’ days, pre 1774. 😈
Perhaps the trip to Mars means the place where the make the bars, Mars Bars that is
