Summer shorts: Summer wiles

Molly's recent report card. ALL rights reserved. NO permissions granted. Copyrighted

We see who’s got whom under her paw….And she wants it framed…And hung next to her Obedience Class Certificate…The one with tooth punctures where she lunged up during graduation and took it out of the trainers’ hand…”Perfectly bloodless retrieval”, she smiled daintily. As you can see Molly, not shy, is quite the party girl and social butterfly. But, as any wise self-confident young lady, she eats delicately and never chases anything.©

She wants it on a T-shirt. “If you’ve got it flaunt it” Ha Ha
Thanks for unleashing a comment here.

I love it! And of course you must post it on the fridge along with her drawings.

RC Cat is miffed about Molly’s report card and the slight by her attendant. Her personal substitute staff failed to leave a written note praising her ward and hopefully beging to be considered for another opportunity to serve. We meekly suggested next time it might be helpful if the reclusive HRH came out from under the bed or left her dark cave in closet…people in the neighborhood are thinking we’re making it up about owning a cat…
Molly bounced by to say thanks for the suggestion. The fridge will be perfect until the fame is purchased.

RC is a lot like my Mollie and Hazel. Recently our sitter was escorted around (and coached) by Morgan. She never saw the other two but there were gifts in the litter box and the food was gone so she didn’t worry. I have friends who have NEVER seen Hazel (she’s lived here for 10 years).

Apparently there’s a myth about “Invisible paws rule the Realms.” The poor sitter is crestfallen with the lack of acceptance…she even threw well chosen mousies. Sadly we had to tell her not to be sad – only the few are acknowledged.

My goodness. She’s well nigh perfect!

    • philosophermouseofthehedge / Jul 11 2016 7:38 am

Of course! We were relieved she didn’t try to eat her way out of her accomodations…she tends to nibble inapporpriately when nervous. Guess she was thrilled to have a mob to romp with. (Now she’s beginning to demonstrate cabin fever with the intense heat limiting activity…only 2 1/2 more months of it to go) Thanks for checking by

My gosh. If Dixie Rose was better behaved and enjoyed companionship, she would be heading straight to that little boarding place the next time i wanted to go somewhere. Unfortunately, she is well behaved only until (1) picked up, (2) confronted with another person, or (3) denied absolute control over her environment. What she’d do with another cat or sixteen, I can’t even imagine.

But hooray for Miss Molly! That’s a card to be proud of. If I were her, i’d be slipped travel brochures under your pillow, and crossing my paws.

RC snarled, “Never.” So she had a personal attendant. If we were forced to board her, that would be the place. Pretty impressive cat zone for limited number of lucky occupants. There’s the typical personal spaces for those who wished to be left alone and then there’s 3 levels of luxury to suit every feline desire: ramps and caged ledges to wander, cat doors if one should wish to go into the large screened outdoor shady porch (with butterfly and plant views)…each resident has their own screened in area out there – complete with perches. OF course various levels of personal attention are available including a rocking chair period, and TV. This place knows it’s market HA HA.
When we drove up Molly was frollicing in the splash pad and pool with friends, but she was equally thrilled to come home…now however, cabin fever is setting in. She has told us that at the resort she did manage to lose those few extra pounds we were beginning to fret over…nothing like increased activity levels. Maybe this fall playtime will resume. Thanks for pawsing to chat

Mine would be similar. Except chasing balls and talkative would be in there, sweet and mellow wouldn’t! But we all knew Molly was a darling anyway. I wonder what the German would say to Molly’s report card?

    • philosophermouseofthehedge / Jul 11 2016 8:09 am

Molly’s going to have to find her voice to hold her own around here as RC Cat is not shy about shouting what she wants (oddly, the cat has a definite vocabulary – who knew?)
With her difficult past, we don’t leave Molly. But there wasn’t any choice. During the preview tour while we were examining fence heights and how solid the buildings were – Molly still nibbles the house when nervous, one of the supervisors laughed and said she had a husky-malamute rescue mix who tended to be very distructive when bored. This place works with rescue groups to socialize and basic train rescue animals before adoption debut. Something in their favor for us.
We haven’t seen The German’s report card…she’s sitting on it. Probably says things like “refuses to play with or even acknowledge lesser dogs” She always has this puzzled expression of “why am I in with dogs?” and marches over to join the humans.
Anyway hoping life can get back to normal now that Person’s wedding if over…as if it’s ever normal around here.
Thanks for checking in with a comment. (Will be catching up on reading blogs this week – see you soon)

nice card… bravo… but I wonder why they have no “greedy” in that appetite part :o)

And no “bolted food then threw it up”? A nice place – enjoyed the splash pad, pool, and pack, but there’s no place like home, says Molly. (But she keep nosing pictures of pools onto the counter…)
Thanks for jumping in here with a comment

Now she wants a pool…and a bunch of friends over for a pool party. “How are you going to keep them down on the farm after they’ve seen Pareeee”?
