Lurking in site

There’s always signs. Right there. In plane sight.

Will to see. (Often the missing element, that Will. Too busy shakin’ up play to notice)

Broken? Or just getting it together? ©

There’s always a subtle shift first.

The half hinged sense it. Those marginally meshed with society.

Unstable ones. Creative ones. Children. Animals.

Is that a de-evolution? Or the opposite?

Might be important to know: Fear based on primal past or a stirring of the future?

Seriously unimportant, isn’t it.

Chill’s not done yet. ©

Sweeping changes or water under the bridge.

Does that have anything to do with anything? Has it ever.

All depends on point of view and perspective.

A bridge too far sees different from a pebble in the raging torrent.

Islands in the Stream flows around with that, too.

Games people play is all that’s on people’s minds currently.

Is there even an option to pass on that.

The play’s the thing.

(There’s a shaky thought. Ham anyone? Nutrition’s important for the right moves.)

It’s coming. You felt that, right? Oh, not standing with the crazy ones… so you think.©

When there’s a shifting, it’s to know which way the winds blow…

Since Nov. 1819 or even longer.

But as Bob reminded everyone in 1965, you don’t really need a weatherman.

Yogi, not your average Berra, had a point:

“If you don’t know where you’re going, you might wind up someplace else.”

(Certainly astute even if a bit Orwellian, by George.)

As it is best to let sleeping dogs lie, I’ll keep an eye on the atmosphere.

A chill’s moving in.

The dogs, children, satirists, and wild ones know.

Wise to make play while the sun shines.

Good to keep your eye on the whole thing.
“Yes, I concur. This is the perfect place for the next excavation…” (And yes Molly has a new collar. The German developed a new wrestling technique of grabbing Molly by the collar and hauling her around the yard. Collars are no match for dog teeth.) ©

“Make play while the sun shines.” Clever play on words. Love it.

Actually that line was what started the whole post’s idea. Had the dogs outside as much as possible with the cold front arriving shortly and they knew what they were outside for! Hope the sun is making you smile there. Thanks for drifting by

Funny about the winds of change and the connectivity of nature, people, animals… we all have that instinct and intuition, yet nature tends to roll well with change. Not so much for the rest of us… as if we have the power to do anything about it. And yet, we do. Much of the “change” that comes about as a society – world, is happening because we try to control and manipulate. Anticipate, Make a plan. I watch wild animals and birds every day. They live in the moment… they’re resilient… and yes, they “Make play while the sun shines”. Oh, how I love the perspective of George Orwell… love his quotes. What a great post to ponder on this gray day. Have a lovely weekend!

You said it all perfectly. People has such a time just sitting and enjoying a nice day – busy being busy and missing it all.
Orwell is a wondrous writer. I hope the high school and college kids are still forced to read his words – they might not resonate with them in school, but maybe later the passages will resurface in their lives. A remarkable man. Thanks for musing along. (really. appreciate those that ponder over the references. so kind of you)

It was a delight to walk out last night about 6 and meet that soft spring air. Just a reminder, though. As you say, the weather’s about to chill. But no freezes – I can deal with that!

Yesterday afternoon was absolutely amazing – perfect spring temps and that sunset. All the dogs, kids, bikes, old people in the neighborhood were out strolling. It would be so nice to have a balcony overlooking the water and western sky. The first bluebonnet has been spotted. (and oak/grass pollen count is unusually high)
Started getting cooler and damp again this afternoon. A little more winter is OK if it stays above freezing and get sunny! Stay warm this weekend! Thanks for sailing by to chat

I heard a neat comment the other day. Someone pointed out that if you notice that the sky comes down to the earth at the horizon – which means we are all standing in the sky. Which is scientifically true as well – we are in the atmosphere, an atmosphere that extends to the edge of space and hence is the sky.

great pics Phil – and the two dogs checking out thesite of the next excavation is funnt. Molly and the German have a great relationship – that is pretty awesome.

That is an intriguing observation. Now we’d better hope the gravitational pull keeps just out heads in the sky! (Heady thought. giggles) Stay warm up there! Thanks for sliding by

Oh, we miss that sunny shining. Chilly and rainy now, but your warm visits make us smile. Paw waves from a happy RC Cat now that the German returned to her home. (Whew – too much doggies)
