Paws down! Hairballs: no excuse.
“Just when life seems to be only one hairball after another, a sky song appears giving perspective.”
Olde Tiger observed sunsets even as his eyes began to see more inward than outward.
Before becoming RC Cat of the Realm, We did not always understand his words.
He spoke with meaning as concealed as his claws.
Olde Tiger was as old as dirt…and carried a great deal of it around with him.
Kept him grounded, he purred.
And that way he was always at home wherever he stood.
As days become shorter making Us more appreciative of the sunny spots, We reflect on his words.
We are also reminded of Our great responsibility to inspire and instruct staff and subjects of the Realm.
Oh, worrisome task.
Such a trial to find words staff can comprehend, yet not insult the intelligence of Our subjects.
Well, this will do.
We shall check off the box with it.
In short time we shall retreat to Our loft with a fine mousie.
All paws down across the Realm.
In silence, gaze at the sky song.
Contemplate the words of Olde Tiger.
What?
We said “in silence”.
Staff! Someone please muzzle that Molly.
(It was against Our better judgement that the youngster attend…but how else will she lean?)
No! We shall not explain. You are to ponder and discover!
No! Hairballs are not a valid reason to skip out not attend!
No! The clouds are not in the shapes of alligators or sharks!
Paws down! Paws down!
This is not a press conference. We are not taking questions!
Oh! Suddenly We remember an urgent mousie matter that must be attended to.
How sad We must reschedule Our inspirational chat.
You have Our permission to withdraw.
Our paw has waved.
Fini.
Staff. We require attendance and fresh mousies immediately. You understand these words, yes? That’s something to be thankful for.
Adieu.
And don’t forget to leave an open can of food in the doorway as tribute.

What a beautiful sunset… it’s amazing how often nature attunes itself to our human realm with such gifts as a beautful sky song and a sage cat to make us thankful for who and where we are right now 🙂

It was a glorious sunset – changed colors like a kalidescope – It took a while for me to run to get a broad shot. Seemed to be the perfect thing to post….RC Cat insisted on adding a touch…got carried away as usual.
