Listen, kid. Drop that nickname – it’s gives people the wrong idea. Do NOT listen to RC Cat in this matter. It is more boxer (which you are not) – than women’s liberation.

I’d avoid RC’s “freedom to break free” urgings. Life on the streets is not glamorous or valuable research for movie roles despite what she may indicate. The only rolls you’ll find out there will be hard and crusty.

So glad your staff arrived safely. We greatly appreciate the loan of a guardian. Person was insistent on not delaying the return trip due to this Sandy business.

Sandy like a beach? Sounds like a blog.

More likely that Sandy dog of Annie – always an attention hound – never got over that “humble beginnings” in an animal shelter. Hardly unique, no?

So Sandy is coming to town. As long as she plans to sleep elsewhere, fine. My bag of food is my bag of food.

Have to admit RC was wise not to trust the geese to relay messages to loaned staff.

Both of the pigeons made it to the ledge, although their mumbling garbled the messages as far as I was concerned.

Geese tend to be flighty this time of year.

No thinking except with their genes.

Just noticed a whole flock behind a weather guy on TV…right under the local seagulls flying over squawking at them to seek cover.

Ah, but they were sturdy Canadians.

Oddly, the human news reporters don’t seem to be any more insightful – even without the water-repellent feathers.

Yawn.

As sleepy as the rain makes me, it is necessary to remain alert.

And I must select and prepare an amusement to present once Person arrives after work.

Shall it be a comedy? Perhaps a little Scooby Doo or Beethoven?

Soulful melodramatic scenes from The Incredible Journey? (A nice salute to the storm delayed Canadian Geese?)

A classic high drama a la “Lassie, Timmy’s in the well!”

Maybe a lighthearted romance Lady and the Tramp style.

Person shall be delighted. Especially if the power takes a vacation.

It’s the least I can do.

Candlelight is so soothing – and so flattering.

I do have these showgirl legs.

Hi ya, German!

So sorry about the soggy weather. Bet you regret not packing those booties now!

Of course it is sunny and mild here. I might run in the sprinkler to share your experiences – not!

Taking your advice to ignore RC’s incessant suggestions, I am now wondering about this latest situation.

RC says a modern girl carries her own stuff.

So I have been snatching my own bags and carrying them on walks.

It feels good to help.

I can’t help dancing with joy.

Although I am not  skilled in grand performances like you, my little jigs and aerial feats make my Persons laugh. I am trying to earn my keep as you advised.

You put your left paw up. You put the right paw out. You curl your tail and toss your head all around. Doing the doggy pokey.

When I showed RC Cat pictures of me of carrying my own bags, she just sniffed, looked away, and muttered something about “Couldn’t get a Kate Spade or Louis Vuitton?”

Then she went into meditative mode and stared at a corner.

Wouldn’t respond.

All I asked is if we were getting new staff.

German, you are much more traveled than I.

Are Kate and Louis nice?

Will they mind if I nibble on them?

Once again I thank you for all your wise advice.

(And I am sorry RC broke the news that Chen across the streets seems to enjoy my company. I know you wished for his friendship. Perhaps if you visit I could reintroduce the two of you.)

Please continue to  be brave with those flickering lights and stuff hitting the windows. Your person is there to cuddle with you now. And try to pretend the parking garage is grass and a tree. It will be OK this time. Really.

Watch out for puddles and poodles!
